Buscábamos bien servicio al mejor precio posible y, tanto Deysi como Tote, hicieron que el servicio sea excelente. Por un accidente requerimos asistencia médica y ellos nos ayudaron con traslados, muletas, etc.

Zweite Bewertung, da wir nach unserem Uyuni-Trip wieder zurück kamen. In Ergänzung zum vorigen Eintrag: Frühstück inklusive und basic aber gut. Klare Empfehlung, wenn man eine einfache, sauber, gute Unterkunft mit nettem Gastgeber sucht und kein Problem hat, ein Stück zu laufen.

Die Wohnung liegt nördlich und ca. 20 Minunten vom Zentrum entfernt. Das muss man wissen und laufen können/wollen. Ist das der Fall, ist es eine super Unterkunft. Tote ist der Inhaber und bietet neben seiner Wohnung 4 Gästewohnungen mit gemeinsamter Terasse. Es ist alles einfach, aber sauber und gut. Tote ist ein toller Gastergeber und seine Hunde haben uns auf Ausflügen auch gerne begleitet. Würden wir wieder buchen - haben wir sogar!

The owners of Casa Sirius were wonderful people, and I'm thankful for their hospitality. Normally I wouldn't leave a bad review for a family run establishment, especially as lovely as this family, but the other reviews felt so misleading that I thought I would share my POV. If I were only using this hostel for sleep, the price would make it worth it. Unfortunately I got food poisoning (potentially from the breakfast but can't be sure), and had to spend my entire time in San Pedro trapped in my barren room. The bathroom window looked into the courtyard and was missing some pains of glass, making is awkward to go cause I was sick. There were no fans or air conditioning, and my only window was next to the family's door so I was kept up till late with noises from them and their dogs. There was only beds and a fridge, and I wasn't allowed to put my luggage on the beds. It was as far away from town as could be (25-30min walk on mostly dirt roads), which made it hard to get supplies to feel better. This is a good accommodation if you're on an extreme budget because San Pedro is very expensive, but I regret not spending more money for something a little nicer.

Family Stay in San Pedro
The owner of the place is very helpful in organizing the trips as he himself is the organizer of the sky-watching tours. He is very happy to assist to give advice, so the stay is as pleasant as possible. This was the case with my visit. In addition, the experience facilitates understanding the way of life in the area as in fact one feels like staying with the family, as there is only 4 rooms managed.

Estadia simples mas confortável, bem higienizada e com donos super atenciosos. Além de simpáticos, eles se esforçavam pra se comunicar bem com a gente, mesmo em outra língua e frequentemente nos ofereciam carona para ir e voltar do centro de San Pedro. Também constantemente se mostraram preocupados em que tudo estivesse bem. Achei a família muito prestativa.

Excelente hostal un poco alejado del centro
Todo estuvo perfecto. Excepto la lejanía con respecto al centro. En algún comentario leímos que estaba a 10 minutos caminando, pero esto no es así. Viajando con niños y bajo el rayo del sol se complica. Todo lo demás ok. Daisy Y su familia son un encanto de personas. El desayuno súper delicioso. Hacen lo posible por que estemos cómodos. Nos ayudaron demasiado.

Nice family but...
Very nice and friendly family. I booked a family room room but because I arrived in my own, they gave me a different room than featured on booking.com but charged me the same. A bit dishonest. The room was very cold, one of the glasses on the louvre-style window in bathroom is missing.

Recomendo para quem procura custo benefício
Deserto é deserto. Não vá esperando um hotel de cidade. O quarto é amplo. A cama é confortável. Banheiro privativo. O banho é quentinho. Café da manhã muito bom. A recepção e acolhimento dos donos é excelente. Realmente me senti em casa.

Nice place to stay in San Pedro de Atacama
About 15 minutes walk away with the center of town, but there are shops close by where you could buy water and snacks. And there was also a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant a few blocks away that was good. The place is set up where one half of the building is the house that Tote and his wife and 2 kids live in. On the other side are 4 guest rooms. The rooms have private entrances, so you nominally don't enter his side of the house. Outside of the 4 rooms is a nice outdoor common area for guests, with chairs, tables, and a TV (that thankfully no one used when I was there). The wifi was fast and reliable. The breakfast was good. The place felt very safe and secure. Tote and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful. Tote is fluent in English and was eager to help book tours, and from the one comparison I made, it was for better prices than you could get from going directly through a tour agency. Tote and his wife also offered to drive me into town on some occasions, which was nice. They have 2 friendly dogs there. I'm not a dog person at all, but I liked these dogs. It was quiet most of the time and I slept well. But there was occasionally noise at night from neighborhood dogs barking, and on one night, a neighbor was playing loud music for a short while around 11pm. But I suspect that you will get that and more the closer you get to town, so I don't think that should stop you from booking this place. I would definitely recommend!

Felt like home
Stayed at Casa Sirius for a week.I was treated almost like a member of the family. They often offered me mineral water and arranged tours for discounted prices. Also, I got there during the moon eclipse and they provided us with telescopes to watch it, which was a major bonus. The main drawback of staying there is its distance from Caracoles Street, where most good restaurants are. There is not much to do in its surroundings, but I got many courtesy rides to/from the hostal, so that was a minor problem. Breakfast is very simple but ok for the price.

Lovely stay, home from home, stayed 6 nights. Torte & Daisy organised our 4 tours & all went without a hitch & at a very reasonable price. Very good & relaxing breakfast taken in the garden.
