"We stayed on the second floor and had a nice balcony with a view of the volcano which was beautiful. The room had a few inconveniences - there was no countertop by the sink for toiletries and the Wi-Fi was very poor. Also, be ready for an early wake-up as the birds start chirping around 5 a.m. and it’s a full-on orchestra. Overall, it was a nice place."

"The breakfast was basically the same day over day. There were warmers with beans/rice, scrambled eggs, dried-out chilaquiles, plantains, some sort of meat dish, and then fresh fruit. There was an omelet station and waffle station. There were various pastries and breads. Hotel otherwise was great - hot springs were well incorporated into the experience"

"Great place in the heart of LaFortuna. This is my 4th trip to the area, 1st time saying at Secreto. No need to pay the overpriced hotel rates outside of town. Buy a day pass to the hot springs if needed but stay at Secreto. You feel like you're in the country but can walk to anything downtown. They had 3 sloths on the property, saw a Toucan and lots of other birds at their beautiful garden. No need for an expensive tour. They were close to the ground and you could see them anytime you wanted...
