"Outstanding location , with breathtaking views of Umbria from atop of the hill on which the small town of Bettona is located . During the 13th and 14th centuries the hotel was a hospital and an orphanage . Wasn’t thrilled with the restaurant , but that of course is a matter of taste. All in all , I enjoyed the 3 night stay , using it as a base to visit Perugia (30 minutes drive) and Assisi (also 30 minutes). "This really is a phenomenal location and property. Although we could only stay one night due to our itinerary, we were able to enjoy an afternoon at the pool, dinner al fresco with a beautiful sunset and then full moon rise.
