"Gotta say, we have been searching for the best "inexpensive" hotel in Santa Barbara (I know, I know... nothing is inexpensive) BUT of those that are more motel-y and somewhat inexpensive, we were pleasantly surprised by this property! The grounds are gorgeous and even though it's right off the freeway, it's very peaceful. Our room was large. The bed was comfortable. It was super clean. We loved our little patio and we actually relaxed! It also was only 10 minutes away from UCSB and close to a drive-thru Starbucks. They have ducks! AND, the shower's water pressure was so strong! I mean, what more can you ask for? I just changed my reservation for Family Weekend to stay here again."

"We had good time at the hotel - very convenient location close to the beach and central walkable street. The staff was very polite and helpful. We really liked using their free bikes rental to stroll through the city."

"I really liked the location of the hotel near the beach. I had a very late check in and the staff was sleeping at 2am and it took a minute for them to wake up. He didn't give me room I booked but after complaining a good bit the GM gave me a 50% discount which worked out fine with me. I plan to book it in the future but I wouldn't pay over $275 a night. Hot tub was small but nice and cleaned every morning. Great for people with pets."

"It's been renovated and it's so nice. Super clean and located right on State Street. Parking is in the rear of the hotel, small bar near the lobby - I cannot recommend it enough."

"Great property for families, centrally located and overall wonderful experience. The resort is a little dated and could use a small facelift, but overall it was well maintained. My biggest gripe was that none of the ice makers around the property were working."
