Our studio was spacious and well stocked with everything we might need while visiting. While the staff is offsite, they are attentive and helpful if needed. Casa Iglesia will be our new “go to” hotel while visiting Santa Barbara.

The place is located at a quiet neighborhood. The interior is nice and we loved the kitchenette especially! The atrium on the rooftop is a good place to relax on a cool day and at night. Overall, a great value compared to other hotels at the downtown SB area.

If you are not into the virtual hosting stuff, and prefer a human interaction this is not for you. However the response from the virtual hosts is quick and helpful. The property is of excellent standard, beautifully maintained and in a great location. Also parking ar the premises is plentiful and secure!

This is a really beautiful place with 21st century cool. The electronic communications and remote check-in and entry were easy and the room amenities were great – amazing waterfall shower; state of the art microwave/convections oven; love the Nespresso coffee; and the Toto toilet and bidet took it over the top!!!

Such an amazing gem! Got the 2 bedroom apartment and it was well designed and decorated and had everything we needed! The beds in each room were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was beautifully built and loved that it had a Bidet! The kitchen was fully stocked and my family enjoyed the nespresso machine! Will absolutely be back when visiting Santa Barbara again. So happy to have found this gem.

Monday morning at 6:40 a.m. they started with trash pickup outside and landscaping which was irritating that early in the morning. The check-in instructions should have noted that there is not a person to check you in and they did not give us our hotel room on the instructions.

The facility was nice, and well kept. The phone (concierge staff) was promptly responsive and knowledgeable. They assisted us navigate the smart TV (which was uber complex). They helped get us housekeeping, one day (which isn't a daily thing there) but when we needed it, fresh towels and bed sheets, they promptly respond; the Zen staff was friendly and kind. I would highly recommend this place for all who would be in the neighborhood.

I chose Casa Iglesia because it is a brand-new property, and it exceeded my expectations. As a designer, I appreciated the attention to detail throughout the space, from the baseboard detailing and thoughtful lighting controls to the smart room features. I also loved the digital photo frame that doubles as a TV. The contactless experience was exactly what I prefer. I received a text with check-in instructions, parked, walked directly to my studio, unlocked the door with my phone, and settled in without stopping at a front desk. After a long drive, that seamless process was a huge plus. The room was exceptionally comfortable. The heated toilet was a standout feature, the 10-foot ceilings made the space feel open and airy, the bedding was excellent, and the smart temperature controls worked perfectly. I also appreciated the in-room coffee setup with cream. When I needed the Wi-Fi password for my laptop, I sent a text and received an immediate response. The location was perfect for a solo trip. Parking was close to the room, and downtown was only a 10-15 minute walk away for coffee and meals. My only criticisms are that sound insulation between floors could be better, as footsteps and furniture movement from above were noticeable. The entry door also required a firm push to fully latch before the thumb lock would work properly. Overall, a modern, well-designed, technology-forward stay. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would happily stay here again.

Tesla chargers were awesome and convenient. Warm seat toilet, room lighting was great, bath towels smelled amazing and the bed was super comfortable slept like a baby.

It was very clean and spacious. I loved the little patio on the 3rd floor and it was one of the highlighting features. The room had many things that we weren’t expecting such as snacks. It was definitely conveniently located near the beach and businesses and was a highlight. I highly would recommend this place over hotels.

Great hosts and place—just know you’ll need wheels Honestly, the owners were fantastic to deal with. Really easy to communicate with, and it shows in how they run the property. Everything felt brand new and thoughtfully put together. The Toto toilet is a surprisingly nice detail, and I’m not even going to pretend otherwise. The place was immaculate, and that patio/atrium space was perfect for just hanging out and decompressing. The trade-off is the location. Nothing’s walking distance—it’s about a 10-minute drive to get to food, beaches, restaurants, the whole scene. So if you’re planning to explore, you’re driving everywhere. Also came in a bit pricier than I expected for a property in that spot. But they clearly take pride in maintaining the place, and it shows. Solid hosts, solid execution.

I enjoyed the stay. Property is very well managed and is conveniently placed close to downtown and beach. Host was remote but always available on a call or message. The amenities were great. I lived the coffee inside

Well appointed room. Awesome automated toilet. Shower/hot water excellent, only missing a shower wand and the should have added a few more places in shower for personal items. Despite having no front desk, their communication exceeded most hotels.
