"The property has 3 tattoo shops across the street and a corner market behind it that attracted some characters. On the other side of the hotel is a park that looked beautiful but also added to a sense of insecurity about what activity we might be surrounded by through the night. The front desk clerk unlocked the door to let us in to the office. All of this initial “feel” was not something you can know by selecting from Expedia like we did. The room was fine, though. "Mid century pool party chic hotel, recent renovations are nice but already showing signs of a few rough edges. Hotel staff was sometimes helpful and sometimes confused. Pool and recreation facilities were fun but be aware there we a lot of families with children present during the summer."

"To many strange people wandering about. They put us in room 118 next to the lobby? Office. On other side of wall was the breakfast again ?. All three mornings they started banging the wall at very early to set up the coffee. I use just cream , not available. At end of walkway was 4 garbage cans filled over capacity with garbage. Very disappointed. The hotel in San Rafael was much better."

"The breakfast was spectacular and they were very accommodating for dietary restrictions. Gourmet 3 course breakfast! We stayed in the cottage and was nice and quiet with lots of privacy. Perfect for a romantic getaway. The hosts were super nice and was wonderful to know the history of the Inn."
