It was a TERRIBLE experience. My wife and I planned this vacation months in advance and upon arrival we were disappointed. The room we booked did not have proper air conditioning. It was actually the only preference I requested from the host Sonia in advance. She lied to me every time I inquired that the AC was working well. When we arrived it was hot, humid and sticky in the room, Sonia said to wait it will cool down with time. When my wife brought it up to her 5 hours later she came over told us to leave and she would give us a refund the next day if we did. Since we booked with Expedia she claimed their office was closed and she couldn’t reach them to refund our money. That was a LIE. I called Expedia and they were open. They called the manager Sonia right in front of my eyes and asked if she would approve the refund. She started playing games saying she didn’t speak English yet she was there with her friend who translated everything to us and was able to translate with Expedia. Sonia refused to give any form of refund even though she took our room keys and spoke to the owner several times on her cell phone ensuring our refund would be approved. We were stuck in the middle of an island we didn’t know, during prime season when all hotels were completely booked. At this time it was getting dark in the evening hours. A complete nightmare you could say. Not a vacation anyone would ever want.
BEWARE OF THIS BEFORE BOOKING YOUR VACATION. NONE OF THIS WAS WORTH THE HASSLE.
