This was a small hotel which was great for our stay in Santiago. It was nice to have the personal touch. The breakfast was great and a kettle in the room was a surprising and very welcome find. Small car park at the back of the property was convenient and we could walk easily into the city.

If I had to choose this hotel again, I would in an instance. Ava, the host, was generous with her knowledge of the area, and gave me and my traveling partner a map of the city and pointed out directions to destinations we needed to visit. The breakfast she set up was generous, and included fresh fruit, local made breads and pastries, ham and cheese and yogurt. As far as the room was concerned, it was perfectly appointed and clean. Great view from the balcony of the cathedral nearby. Bathroom was spotless and beds were cozy. Honestly, I am sad that we were not able to spend more time here. Thank you, PR Tambre for a wonderful stay!

Excelente escolha para Santiago de Compostela
Fiquei encantado com o espaço. Quarto super confortável, bonito e amplo, com bonita vista para as montanhas. Bom preço. Eva muito atenciosa na recepção. Café da manhã simples mas saboroso. O lugar fica a cerca de 20 minutos do centro histórico. Vale a pena se hospedar aqui!

Our hostess was wonderfully helpful all during our stay. She's a well-spring of information about the city, and she sets out a very nice breakfast buffet. Also, the pension is well-located for walkers like us, about 20 minutes from the cathdral square.

It is a nice small family-owned hotel, located in a walking distance from the Cathedral. Free parking is provided but it is somewhat tricky to park there.

Highly recommended.
Excellent value, very clean, very friendly and helpful service and great value. The optional breakfast is superb with plenty of choice and I felt it was also great value. The location is ideal for the city centre, which is just a 10 minute walk away. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great little pension gem in Santiago de Compostela
Perfect place in a perfect location in Santiago. It was nice not being in the center of the city and all of its business, especially when you want to rewind and relax after spending 10 days on the Camino. The owner was especially helpful with restaurant recommendations among other things. I believe Ava was her name. Great fresh breakfast spread and very walkable to everywhere. Highly recommend!

The structure is about 15minutes walk away from the Cathedral and have easy parking if you move by car. The hostress was very kind giving us a lot of tips about Santiago and nice spots to see going to Finisterre. The room unfortunately was on a trafficated road and a little bit noisy , but closing the window it is acceptable. Recommended.

I walked the Coastal Camiño from Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela and stayed in several hotels along the way but PR Tambre was my favorite! The staff go out of their way to accommodate guests. The entire place is very clean. From the street the hotel looks like a nondescript storefront but is very welcoming inside. There’s a nice selection of drinks available at the bar. Breakfast is available for only €5 and was typical of most of the other places I stayed. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the cathedral but there’s a bus stop just a few steps from the hotel and the bus costs only €1! It will get you close to the cathedral in about 5 minutes. There’s also a self serve laundromat and supermarket 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel, several cafes/bars nearby and a really tasty seafood restaurant on the same street as the hotel called Meson do Pulpo. I definitely will be staying at PR Tambre on my next visit to Santiago de Compostela!

Una habitación muy limpia y cómoda. Cerca del centro, unos 10 minutos andando, y con parada de bus al lado. Eva nos hizo la estancia muy fácil estando pendiente de todo lo que pudiéramos necesitar. Sin duda, un alojamiento para repetir.

Ich gehe immer gerne in das Hotel Tambre. Die Chefin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind entzückend ausgestattet. Das Frühstück und der Kaffee sehr gut. Das Beste was ich bisher auf meinen 3 Caminos erlebt habe.

Buenísima atención la de Eva, amable y siempre sonriente. Viajé con mi esposa y nos sentimos como en casa. Las instalaciones de la pensión en perfecto estado. Desde ella se puede llegar andando a casi todos los lugares de interés. De tener la oportunidad de regresar a Santiago de Compostela ¡seguro me alojaría de nuevo aquí!

Staff are very helpful...it's quiet...you can see countryside while only a short walk to centro.

Fue una de mis mejores estancias
La estancia fue una maravilla no esperaba tanta atención,tanto Eva como su padre Pepe y su marido Jesús están siempre disponibles para cualquier consulta,te dan hasta clases de historia sobre la ciudad,la limpieza es de 10 y las instalaciones son una pasada, ascensor para subir las maletas,vamos de 10

Pension Tambre
Chambres hyper confortables, modernes, calmes. Le petit-déjeuner à 5€ est complet (fruits, fromages, jambon, toasts, gâteaux ...) avec en prime un vrai café servi du bar. La pension dispose d'un parking (énorme avantage à Santiago) et n'est qu'à 10mn à peine de la vieille ville à pied. Excellent accueil de la gérante, en prime !

We stayed 3 nights. The outside is deceptive. The inside looks great, very clean, well kept and quiet. The owner is wonderful and goes out of her way to make you comfortable and assist you in whatever you need. The location is a 10 minute walk to the cathedral - a lot closer than appears on a map. There are lots of restaurants nearby, a grocery store and very clean laundromat. We would definitely stay there again!!!!!
