"I had originally booked this hotel because they were pet friendly, but we didn't end up bringing our dog. I probably should have read reviews before keeping the room after knowing we were not bringing our dog.
When you pull up, the office is in the back. The hotel on the outside looks great, and there appears to be plenty of parking. In the office, they could really use like a coat of paint on the wall behind the counter. First impression. There's a dirty fish tank, not even sure if there's fish in there. The gentleman behind the counter gave us 1 room key, and told us the room number without directions so I had to ask where it was. He mentioned "no smoking on the property", yet someone was smoking in the driveway and the smoke was just coming right in the main hall. OK... not really the hotel's fault, but he should have noticed. The room was small; so I'm glad we didn't have our dog. As clean as the room was, there were cigarette burn holes in the comforters. No hand soap, we had to ask, and the coffee maker was inop. The lighting... those 5000k+ LEDs really make the room look dismal, for as clean as it was. There were blinds at the window covering a small window, that did in fact have a view of the boardwalk. The garage was below our room so we heard every car & motorcycle parking through the night. The beds were very soft, like giant pillows, supported by metal frames. Not sure about TV availability but several people were signed into Netflix, which worked."
