This is hands down one of the best boutique hotels I have ever stayed in. The property is so beautiful and perfectly located, with amazing views of the beach, mountain and surrounded by vineyards. Close enough to everything but at the same time away from the most crowded areas. The staff is super helpful and friendly; they made our stay a memorable one. Everything was perfectly clean and well maintained. Aja is truly an amazing place to stay.

First time in Santorini and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay. Do not even bother looking anywhere else! Athena is the most hospitable host, who is always available to help with any concerns. The apartment is beautiful, clean, relaxing and in a convenient location. We had such a delightful breakfast each morning, which was also provided by the property. I will definitely be coming back to stay at Aja retreat! Thank you Athena.

Perfect location, perfect stay! Very easy access to Kamari, but felt secluded enough for privacy. All the staff was great and friendly, and breakfast delivered to our patio every morning! This was the perfect place, and accessible to the rest of the island easily. 10/10 would stay here again.

Magnifique chambre spacieuse, calme avec tout le nécessaire. La décoration est magnifique, le jacuzzi génial. le petit-déjeuner est livré en chambre avec choix à faire la veille sur whatsapp Ne faites pas la même erreur que nous:pour ne pas être réveillé le matin tôt, il y a un rideau intérieur à tirer(chambre 3)!!! This was a fantastic find! We celebrated our anniversary in Santorini, and this accommodation was perfect. Close to the airport, the hot tub was such a nice touch with the hot days on the island. The attention to detail in the room was incredible, everything from shaving kit, to vanity kit, to sewing kit, a steamer and an ironing board, everything you could ever want and more! Breakfast was delicious every morning, we always looked forward to waking up to it. The floating breakfast on our anniversary was the cherry on top of a fantastic trip! Thanks again Mrs Athena, we will be back 😊

Fabulous!!!

Wow what can we say about our stay at Aja retreat from the minute we arrived it was fabulous!! Very beautiful room and outdoor area the plunge pool is amazing and bean bags very comfortable for sunbathing loved the back terrace everything was so comfortable and clean with every little detail taken care all the small touches were so wonderful we loved the decor of the room the free standing bath all amazing we can’t recommend this place enough ..the lovely breakfast in the pool on our last day was so pretty too .. Kamari is within walking distance the villa are right near the open air cinema close to all the shops and beach etc we hired a buggy which was lovely to get around the island with ease would definitely love to come back to this wonderful quiet oasis .. if anyone thinking of booking Aja retreat just do it!!! Xx Thankyou for your wonderful hospitality and big Thankyou to the maid ( sorry don’t know name) she was so lovely and always happy to help with anything she is a gem xx ps loved the vending machine it was perfect!! Quiet Modern Design Hotel

Our own experience was very good. The complex is fairly new with a few mini villa type rooms. We arrive very late in the evening so we had to wait for some one to come and meet us as there is no man receptionist on site after hours. Although we never saw anyone during the day either. But your host is always available for what ever you need via WhatsApp. The rooms are very nice and the facilities are good and the rooms come with a nice external Jacuzzi. The breakfast is good with only a few options mostly consist of eggs in various forms but they are very accommodating if you prefer fruit only or a slight variation to how you want your breakfast. The shower pressure was the only let down as in the morning you get only a small trickle as you shower. The hotel is located in a fairly quiet area which we loved with Kamari beach is only 5 min by car or 20 min on foot. I recommend getting a car as the sun can get really strong.

Wir hatten insgesamt einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im aja. Das absolute Highlight war definitiv der private Whirlpool. Auch die Zimmer sind wunderschön eingerichtet und wurden täglich sehr gründlich gereinigt. Ein großes Lob an das Housekeeping. Die Dame war unglaublich herzlich und hat einen tollen Job gemacht. Die Lage hat uns ebenfalls sehr gefallen. Von hier aus konnte man die gesamte Insel sehr gut erkunden. Vor unserer Anreise hat uns Athena viele hilfreiche Restauranttipps und Empfehlungen für Aktivitäten auf der Insel geschickt, was wir sehr geschätzt haben. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt sind allerdings die Ausflüge und Angebote, die über das Hotel vermittelt werden. Unserer Meinung nach waren diese deutlich teurer, als wenn man sie selbst organisiert. Das Frühstück hat uns ebenfalls etwas enttäuscht. Bei einem Aufenthalt von zehn Tagen war die Auswahl leider sehr eintönig und hat sich häufig wiederholt. Etwas mehr Abwechslung sowie eine größere Auswahl an frischem Obst hätten wir uns gewünscht. An absolutely amazing stay for our first time in Greece. Perfect stay for couples and it’s very romantic. The apartment was exceptionally clean and smelt amazing. The outdoor jet pool and terrace was very beautiful and very private. The retreat was exceptionally quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was brought to our room every morning which was lovely and fresh and we got to pick what time we wanted it. I cant recommend staying here enough. The location is within a 10-15mins drive of most of the island which is really good if you have your own car. Alternatively you can walk to Kamari beach which is about 15 mins away with lots of food options. If you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay and a little slice of paradise this is it. It’s not too far away from anything. But it’s away from the crowds. I cant wait to go again. Thank you for a perfect stay!

We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Aja Retreat and genuinely struggled to find reasons to leave. The standout feature was the attention to detail. The property was spotlessly clean throughout our stay, with housekeeping doing an exceptional job every day, including cleaning and checking the plunge pool. Breakfast was a great start to each morning, with a good selection and different egg dishes available across the week, which added a nice bit of variety. The setting is beautiful and everything feels high quality, from the furniture and décor to the bedding and finishing touches. It manages to feel both luxurious and comfortable at the same time. The team were fantastic. They were always quick to respond to questions and gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations that led to some of our favourite meals of the trip. The location was perfect for us, close enough for an easy stroll to the beach while still feeling peaceful and secluded. A few minor points for balance. The outdoor plug socket didn’t work during our stay, although this wasn’t a big issue. The pillows were quite firm and, despite Expedia mentioning a pillow menu, we were told this isn’t offered. Expedia also advertises spa facilities, which doesn’t appear to be accurate and probably needs updating. These were very small issues in an otherwise superb stay. Aja Retreat gets the important things absolutely right: cleanliness, comfort, service and atmosphere. We’d happily return!

Could not have asked for a better experience on my first time in Santorini and traveling alone from the US. The front desk manager, Athena, was prompted in reaching out to confirm my reservation and airport pickup months in advance. She checked up on me almost daily to ensure I had everything I needed during my stay. Kastos, the shuttle driver is a gem and so sweet. He made sure I had his personal contact to reach out at any time when I needed a ride (much more affordable than other taxi services). And Valentina, the housekeeper, there are no words to express how great she is. A woman who takes pride in her work. My breakfast was brought to my room and precisely the time I requested and it was always hot, fresh, and delicious! She thoroughly cleaned my room daily and even replaced my sheets when I mistakenly slept in my makeup. Aja Retreat is certainly a place to stay with amazing views, affordable rates, and an incredible staff!

Nice place, good location. we had rented a car so it was a good fit. there is parking right outside. you can also explore kamari. Fira is 14 min by car, and oia 30 min. if you are going to rent a car then this place is 10/10 everything was very clean and nice.
