Unmatched Caldera Views & World-Class Hospitality

We stayed at Avista Suites Santorini in the Sea View Suite and it was unforgettable. The suite was spacious with a living room, master bedroom, loft, and direct rooftop access. The rooftop pool with jets overlooked the caldera, volcano, and sunsets that were the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. The master bedroom even had a small connecting make-up room with natural light, stool, and mirror, which was a thoughtful detail. The beds were very comfortable, and room calming. The suite included a Nespresso, mini fridge, bathrobes, toiletries, and an iron. Breakfast was another highlight both tasty, with many options. Each evening we filled out a sheet, and breakfast was delivered the next morning at our chosen time (8:30–11:00), perfect to enjoy with the view. The hotel sits at the highest point of the caldera, giving unmatched views. It’s about 2km from Fira and 8km from Oia, but the quiet location made it ideal for a romantic getaway. The walk to Fira was scenic, and with nearby rentals and a reliable bus stop, exploring the island was easy. Service was excellent: daily cleaning kept everything spotless, including the hot tub. The honesty of the staff stood out when a thrown-away necklace was returned to us. Most of all, Lampros, the owner, made our stay special, greeting us warmly, helping with luggage, sharing local tips and wine recommendations, and checking in just enough to ensure we had everything we needed. Avista Suites was simply perfect.

John and Lampros are wonderful hosts. This property is absolutely stunning. It is beautifully appointed and you will be treated like guests at a gorgeous home. Staying in Imerovigli offers quiet, tranquility and privacy. We were sad to leave these amazing accommodations.

Our stay was the easiest and most beautiful experience. The location, and property cannot be faulted. The views are as good as it can get and the place spotless with all the extra things that make a holiday extra special. But above all this, it was the service that made our stay incredible. The staff goes well above and beyond to make sure you feel at home, even adding little personal touches that would just make you feel thought off. John gave us all the recommendations we needed and answered all our questions. Also highly recommend their massage services.

BEST service. BEST views.

Every single thing about this trip and stay was amazing. The service from Mr. Lampros and John makes you feel so welcome and you feel so taken care of whether it was breakfast in the morning or dinner recommendations. Two main highlights to touch on were the location - Imerovigli is hands down the best place to stay if you are looking for a more quiet atmosphere but still close to the other towns. And last but not least the location of Avista to watch the sunset is literally the best. It doesn’t get higher anywhere on Santorini to watch the sunset with the best unobstructed view of the caldera. And your own plunge pool to watch from without the crowds. You cannot go wrong staying at Avista in your time at Santorini. Thank you Avista Suites for making my wife and I’s stay so great for our honeymoon! We will be back soon.
View from the top. No crowds and no other hotels or villas above you. Definitely the highest point of the major towns in Santorini.

Super friendly staff who are happy to recommend things to do. Hot tub on the roof is nice. Perfect at night as it remains warm. Unfortunately our room was facing the street and so not much privacy and needed to close the blinds all the time or people could see in.

A wonderful stay

Excellent hotel with a panoramic view at your own terrace . The view (and especially sunset) definitely beats oia, with the benefit of being less crowded and less touristy. Room was also stylish, clean and spacious. Overall the hotel is highly recommended. The host and staff were amazing. Besides being friendly, helpful and resourceful, the host gave some really good recommendations regarding places to go (which are less touristy but very santorini, or, to quote the host’s word, pure). They made our stay most comfortable.

Unbeatable views and hospitality!

Avista Suites is in an absolutely phenomenal location within Imerovigli. Beyond having a private roof-top jacuzzi to enjoy those gorgeous caldera sunsets, Lampros and Giannis were the epitome of superb hospitality. Upon arrival Lampros helped us prioritize what to do within the three days we had and made some great food recommendations. Gian always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. After touring all around the island, in my opinion Imerovigli is the best area to stay. If I find myself back in Santorini, I'll be staying here.

The place to be! Avista suites!

I had done quite a lot of research prior to picking this accommodation and am I glad I picked this one! Everything about our stay was perfect. Transferred were organised well and promptly. Upon arrival to Malteza square Yianni had taken our bags to our room and we checked in with Lampros. Check in was very personalised and also got a nice history lesson about Santorini which I loved learning about. As we got a tour of our room, everything was just WOW!! And we even had a rooftop hot tub to enjoy the sunsets on and Yianni brought us surprise drinks - we watched the sunset everyday from there, we didn't want to be stuck in the crowds in Oia. Breakfast was served wherever we wanted and was always there on time and a newsletter came with it which was always nice to read in the morning. My boyfriend would also have morning coffees with Lampros which was nice as they would chat about anything and everything. All in all best team and best accommodation I have ever been to and I don't really say this to many accommodation.. No need to look anywhere else.. Book this one!

Lovely hotel in great position.

Avista suites are high up so the views are wonderful. The sunsets are beautiful from the roof top and the sunbathing and hot tub are great. The owner and staff could not do enough for you they were great.The suite was in a great location in Imerovigli so you could walk to either Fira or oia. The owner produced a newsletter daily for you which was full of information in th area and suggestions of what you could do that day and what the weather was going to be. The Avista has only three suites so was very quiet and tranquil I would definitely return for other visits. We asked the owner to recommend us a lovely fish restaurant he not only did this he booked it arranged both the taxi there and back and it was so wonderful he had arranged for us to have the fresh fish that was caught that morning. This was a family run taverna and they were all lovely we had a great time fish was to die for.

High Expectations? You won't be disappointed here

This is a fantastic place to stay. The views are arguably the best on the island and the quality of rooms is excellent. Overall it was an outstanding experience, but best of all the service was exceptional, very personal, no detail to small and all without being intrusive. Can't recommend highly enough.
