"I read some recent reviews. I was there during the St. Patrick's day festivities. I must say some people clearly did no research before booking. This hotel is in a historic district and is a historic building. The furniture and design are appropriate for the area its in. There weren't a lot of modern accommodations which was fine. The room was clean. The bathroom could use brighter lighting by the shower. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great. You can walk everywhere. I will definitely stay there again."

"Breakfast options were great! Pool was closed during our stay so couldn’t access that which was a bummer because we had two 90 degree days. And yes, we had some paranormal experiences as we were told that Savannah had a history of hauntings. Two nights we had repeated knocking on our room door and phantom calls on the room phone. Eerie but kinda cool!!"

"I think the lobby and halls are updated? Rooms are basically plastered cinder block. Our air unit was detached from the wall so we could hear everything on the street (literally open to the outside). Towels and sheets are beyond dismal- cheapest of cheap. Broken TP holder. Just worn. Weird, bad lighting. Don’t think I’ll stay in a Marriott again…. The staff was very nice"

"Over all this is a very average place. The room and grounds seemed clean, breakfast was simple but our stay was VERY noisy. The walls and windows are NOT sound proof. Could hear the traffic from the highway out front all night. The first night a helicopter flew over for several hours and over our 2 night stay we heard very large planes flying very low coming in for landings. Sounded like we were across the street from the airport. But the worst was the noise coming from the room next door. There was a college van out front so I’m guessing there was a field trip of some sort and the room was full of very loud boys. I spoke with front desk the morning after our first night of not sleeping and was told they would speak with the leader of their group. Second night was worst than the first. Boys were more loud and at one point a fight broke out. I was really concerned for the safety of the kids in the room. I called the front desk and she said she would handle it. She did call their room because I could hear the call through the wall but the noise did not subside until well after midnight. Screaming, yelling profanities in the room and in the parking lot, doors slamming in the room , car doors slamming outside, helicopters and airplanes flying over……worst stay ever and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU CARE ABOUT SLEEPING!!!! "
