Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort, communication
This place is perfect for a chilled out couples getaway. Aptly named The Hygge Out, it really emboidies all that is Hygge; from the clean asthetics and peaceful location to the 'back to basics' concept, albiet luxurious with the stove and hot tub being wood fired! The owners were downright lovely. Communication beforehand was great. They gave clear instructions for how to find the location and of any extras we might be interested in. Upon arrival there were concise instructions for use of the stove, hot tub and big green egg as well as notes about the onsite shop and checkout procedure. The pod itself was cosy and nicely furnished with everything you'd need for a short stay. The bed was comfortable, and everything was clean, including the hottub and patio. Being in the middle of nowhere, or so it felt, really gave us the opportunity to completely unwind and enjoy each others company. We will 100% visit again, thank you for a lovely stay.

Disliked: Communication
Disappointing in many ways. Peaceful and quiet but not worth the £190 a night fee by any means. First impressions once we took the correct right turn was of a nice little site. The key was left in the door so nobody to walk us through which we don't mind. Cleaning was okay without being great. Bathroom taps were not cleaned behind, the floor was not remotely clean or free from debris and the windows hadn't been cleaned for sometime which on a site sold on views is not good. The fridge was too small to house our food for 3 meals let alone 3 nights. The bed was cheap, old and soft which drove us to leave after 2 of the 3 nights due to my wife's back becoming an issue. The same can be said of the only 2 seater which was the only internal seating. No support. The wood fired hot tub is good as was the Big Green Egg BBQ but no shield when the wind blows so smoke is an issue. The green credentials disappeared straight away for me as the 'starter pack' left to fire the hot tub and the kindling for lighting it and the BBQ were bits of chopped up treated soft wood which can be toxic! Anything other than this was chargeable at £6 a bag. There is nothing within walking distance that we could find either so always taking the car which wasn't our intention. Access was via narrow lanes and a dusty track. Flies were also a constant issue and we were left notes and fly tape saying this was because of the fields. We were surrounded on a few sides by reed beds.... Wi-fi was also v. poor!
