"Sam and Donnetta were so nice and helpful doing check-in and through out my stay. The pool area is beautiful at night. So quiet and relaxing in the jacuzzi. Outdoor bar seating with a fire pit, a view to watch the games and have a drink. In regards of my room it was okay. Double beds, small refrigerator, complimentary water, coffee maker, safe, iron and ironing board. Room needs a few cosmetic upgrades. Housekeeping staff was nice and pleasant. Parking is available with limited space by the hotel, the garage is not that far. Did have to park by the garage one night. There’s a shopping plaza in walking distance, with a few food options and grocery store. Next time I visit San Diego will definitely stay here."

"Holiday Inn in Solana Beach needs to let people know it’s under a serious renovation. No elevator , climbing 3 flights of stairs daily for 3 days with a bad knee was rough. Television was out for 2 days they claimed cable issue. Horrible WIFI. On a positive note upgraded rooms nice decor and free breakfast to go."

"The staff was good to work with. Food was below par. We upgraded for 150 dollars so our view of the parking lot would be better. Our view was at the room on the other side of the center area. Not that great, "

"Don’t reserve with Expedia. Hotel charged $35 fee for daily parking with no heads up or warning. This should have been included with the reservation. I will stick with Costco in the future. Lying to get business is a horrible way to do business. Last time I will use this “clown” service "

"It was a nice hotel! Staff was very nice but it was very far away from anything. It was kind of out in the middle of nowhere. Did enjoy our stay there."

"Let's start with the good: it was quiet at night. Not near a freeway, or busy highway. The bad: the property was feeling tired, worn out, and in need of TLC. Tile grout needed to be replaced, bathroom floor was dirty, Breakfast not included, and they charged a fee to park in the parking lot. As far as the staff goes, they were friendly at check-in but when we asked if we could have a late check out, not so nice. Said the hotel was sold out and they needed to clean the room. Could not give us an extra half hour. When time came to leave the property, there wasn't a sole in the lobby and the parking lot was 95% empty. It was a Monday, the place was empty. Anyways, would have been better with updated bathrooms, include breakfast and don't charge for parking at a location where parking is plentiful."
