"I only wanted a soft bed and a hot shower after camping for 3 nights in Acadia; this motel (it's NOT a hotel) offered that. Very basic small room, clean with A/C, but I loved the grounds; very pretty, and way back off Rt. 3, the main highway on Mt. Desert Island. It is NOT an "ocean view" however; on the north side of the island there is only a very pretty far-away view of "the narrows" connecting Frenchman Bay on the east and Blue Hill Bay on the west. It was probably the best thing about staying there along with the receptionist who was extremely helpful in making tour reservations."

"An older style property that had been updated with quality fittings and fixtures hosted by a warm and friendly staff that is eager to please. Limited selection of breakfast items but close to the downtown area and quite a few dining options within walking distance. We had a very pleasant stay and would certainly visit again. The only downside was a shortage of ADA accessable rooms and handicap parking."

"Afternoon tea and breakfast offerings were always-changing and unique. We enjoyed the privacy of our cottage room, but the community of the house and dining. Cottage Inn staff was all friendly and helpful! The proximity to everything was very convenient. The water pressure was incredible as well."

"We had to use a door lock code to enter the room. We were given the code by calling the number on a sign. We loved the outdoor fire pit and grills. The motel was very simple but had everything we needed. There was a back area where we could walk the dogs. The room was clean and the area quiet."

"Fabulous hotel! Rooms were very clean. I have a view of Frenchmans Bay and downtown Bar Harbor. Sunrise everyday over the lobster boats and lobster buoys. Breakfast was great. Hotel has front loading washer and driers where you need a room key to get in, clothes safe. Front desk personnel was friendly and provided water bottles when needed. Very close to Acadia. I loved this hotel!"
