"Beautiful view from the rooms on the hvalfjörður side, the dinning room and lounge area were outstanding. The staff were very helpful and attentive, we very much appreciated their attention to us as tired travelers on our first night in Iceland. The hotel manager was extremely approachable, friendly, he answered all of our questions, and gave us great information for the next few days of our adventure. The property is under new ownership as of early 2026 and they are making visible...

"Frühstück top, Hotel Design 5sterne, all in all alles sehr gut. Etwas laut, in der Nähe scheint es einen Club oder Ähnliches zu geben. Leider war das Personal nicht wie gewohnt in Island, freundlich, sondern eher etwas abwertend. Dennoch sehr schönes hotel."

"The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was really nice with something for everyone. It was also the cheapest meal in town. We did not eat or drink there otherwise. Downside = the bed was not comfortable. It was hard yet bouncy. We could feel the springs and every movement each other made. I still slept OK, but my husband did not, which made for a slightly cranky travel partner."
