"Hotel was extremely clean. As soon as you entered the lobby, you could smell that it's constantly kept up with. The room was kind of small but we were only staying 1 night, so we made it work. The pool was great, outdoor bar too. Breakfast was good and staff were attentive to refilling food and cleaning up after guests. There's a Starbucks right next door, a KFC about 1 minute away, and a 24 hour gas station like 5 minutes away (all walking distance). There is an ice cream shop and a pizza place too, but we didn't go. Besides that, there's really nothing else in the area but there was a festival that night the bartender told us about and we hopped into an Uber and spent the evening there."

"Everyone was so friendly… I actually felt like I was family to all of the staff at the resort. My only suggestion is to have additional fans throughout the entire eating area and around the bar."

"Our stay at Hotel Riu Palace Costa Rica was amazing and just what we needed from a vacation. The hotel grounds and rooms were clean and comfortable. The amenities were great and there was plenty to do during our stay. The kids club during the day and night were memorable for our young one. And having access to the water park was perfect."
