"A nice clean room with space to be able to open up your suitcase. Close to the Mo key park, bamboo grove and the temples. We’d definitely stay there again!"

"Gion Elite Terrace is a great homebase in Kyoto. The hotel is clean, the rooms are incredibly well designed, with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and more. The only downside (which is a larger issue with Kyoto in general) is that the property does not have much authentic Japanese charm or feel because it is largely (75%+) American tourists and staff are perfectly bilingual (a plus, but also a bit disorienting). If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese experience then this likely isn’t...

"It was an excellent boutique hotel. It was perfect for our purposes. Very spacious room with whatever you need for an extended stay. The external environment around it was unimpressive but the location just a block off of the main thoroughfare more than made up for it. It was a short walk to conveniences stores, restaurants and the train station."

"The room was excellent sized. Perfect for a family of four.
The bidet can use some English translation, but it was perfectly fine to use for non-Japanese still.
The check-in staff was super helpful and was accommodating when we arrived 30 minutes earlier than the 3 pm check-in time.
The location was perfect also. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and tourist spots."
