"The Fair Isle was the perfect location for the start of our Cabot Trail experience. Two amazing dogs greeted us and yhe lady at the front desk was so friendly and even added to our Cabot Trail experience with some recommendations. The motel had a pool and beautiful views right across the street. It was very clean and we had a good nights rest. Highly recommend to stay here!"
"The room was sparse. It is not a fancy place. BUT it is very well located in Baddeck. Perfect for a first-time visit. Breakfast is not included which might be a good thing because the coffee shop across the street is great and sometimes comes with Rose, the best cheerleader for Cape Breton imaginable. She is full of great tips and enthusiasm.
The restaurant is highly thought of. We did not dine here because the menu did not excite us."
"The view and the grounds were beautiful, and breakfast was nice on the veranda. However I had thought I was staying in the main building and instead was in a motel room in the back which was disappointing. Having said that, it was quiet, clean and we slept well."
"It was a stopover for the night doing the Cabot trail. Helpful staff, decent rooms, clean and up to date.
Breakfast was quite good.
I’d definitely stay again"
"Easy to find. Excellent parking options. Clean.
We were given a ground floor unit at the back of one of their three buildings. As a result it felt more like a nice motel than a good hotel.
Perhaps we’re given the back door treatment because we booked through a third party site?
In any event, the room was fine for our needs as we just spending one. Night there before moving on to other locations.
Unfortunately we only stayed the night and choose to find a more economical breakfast option as we are both light eaters and usually don’t get value from buffets.
Some issues with billing that were corrected before we left the property.
We would stay at this location again."
