"Room was nice and cosy , unfortunately had to leave for work every day to early for breakfast but there were some bits and pieces there if I wanted , plenty of hot water for a bath , bed was nice and comfortable, the only bad thing was someone had been in the room and taken my shampoo and razor the day before I left so could not was my hair or have a shave "

"I loved this place. When I go to England, I enjoy these smaller, transformed hotels much more than bigger ones and Hand and Spear has been the best. The room I got was spacious with ample wardrobe space and beautiful decor. The bath was insane with a beautiful claw foot tub. I’m very self-sufficient when I travel so I don’t expect a room made up each day but I’m sure they would accommodate you and they quickly brought extra towels when I asked. The thing is…my room had food and a little fridge...

"A lovely young girl served and checked us in. The room was very clean and tidy. We had a delicious full English breakfast which included orange juice, tea and coffee. Great stay and would recommend this place for the pub and the stay over!!!"

"The property was very nice and historic the staff were exceptional. The only downside was the menu for dinner not a lot of different options but plenty of places to eat around that area I did want to eat in the hotel for the experience pity about the menu we did have a drink there and staff was exceptional again nothing to much thank you to the staff a1"

"The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the welcome was friendly. But, we were nevertheless underwhelmed by our experience at The Queen’s Head. Dinner was okay although my partner did not enjoy his at all. The room wasn’t as clean as it could have been and there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling which didn’t inspire confidence in the cleanliness in general. There was toilet roll stuffed into an evidently redundant bathroom door lock for some reason. (Maybe I am being petty, but changing...
