"This was the worst stay I’ve ever had to endure, we checked in 4hrs after check in time and were told 3/5 rooms were ready. Only 2/5 rooms were ready and they said another hour for the other rooms. On top of not being ready we had to downsize from two beds to a king bed which was another inconvenience which was brushed off with everything else. We had a big party which is why we booked 5 rooms! We got zero notification on this issue. We almost checked in exactly @3 but chose to go to the beach instead. The pool area didn’t have pool towels. The smelled of mildew. The front desk person wasn’t very empathetic on the frustration I was feeling and offered a “we are short staffed” as the reasoning why our rooms weren’t ready. Never getting contacted by phone or email in regards to this delay is very unprofessional and inconsiderate at every level. Having children and elderly having to wait for a room added to the stress and frustration. The inconvenience and inconsideration was at a high. There were others coming in and checking in with zero issues. As we waited for our rooms. We were not able to enjoy the pool since we had to rush and shower after we finally all got our rooms and make dinner and by the time we returned the pool was closed. Very inconsiderate "

"I didn't like that when I went to go check in, I was told my room was canceled. On the booking site, it said , PAY AT PROPERTY at check in.... When I went to check in and pay, I was told that my credit card couldn't be processed.. Why are they trying to run my credit card if I hadn't even checked in? Now if I had gone in, in person and my card couldn't be processed, then I would understand it being canceled.. I booked this room in January and had the funds to pay at check in.. I asked if there was a way to pay for the room at the time but my room was already taken.. It would have been nice to get a phone call or email stating the issues and I got nothing.. My family of 6 had to find another place to stay for the night.. Never would I want to book or never would I recommend this place.."

Wyndham Corpus Christi Resort North Padre Island

"I was very disappointed with my stay at Wyndham Corpus Christi Resort North Padre Island. The first issue occurred before we even got into our room. We arrived early and were told our room was available and ready, yet the hotel wanted to charge an additional $80 just to check in a few hours early. Charging that much for access to an empty room that was already prepared felt excessive and left a poor first impression. Unfortunately, things did not improve after check-in. A dog in a nearby room barked continuously for nearly two hours straight. I called the front desk to report the issue, but nothing was done to resolve it. The barking continued and made it impossible to relax in the room. To make matters worse, dogs were barking throughout the evening and well into the night, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. While I understand this is a pet-friendly property, guests should still be able to enjoy a reasonably quiet stay. Between the excessive early check-in fee, lack of response to noise complaints, and constant barking dogs, this stay did not meet expectations. I would not choose this property again and would recommend others consider these issues before booking."
