"The room smells like it has a bad drainage system. Once we enter the room and it smells like the toilet has been backed up. The fabric spray provided was useless. Attitude of staff were mixed, some discrimination were definitely present. Felt harrassed by the staff to settle the bill due to deciding to have extra guest in the room which we also had already decided to pay for. "

"Loved the location, the room and the staff. Room was vey spacious and beds were comfortable. The area around it was very good. Easy to access all Kyoto sites with lots of transit options and there was also a lot of high quality eating options nearby. I personally loved the bakery around the corner - Le Petit Mec for breakfast. Best French pastries I have ever had and good coffee. Highly recommend this hotel."

"The place was nice and new. Fairly small but enough room for 6 of us to sleep comfortably. Lots of stairs and the 2nd and 3rd floors have the bedrooms. Nice sitting area on balcony (4th floor). Fairly conveniently located, within 10 minutes of various subway lines. 2 minutes to 7-11. "

"We had an absolutely amazing stay at STITCH Hotel in Kyoto and I’m so grateful I booked it based on other people’s reviews ~ every single positive comment turned out to be true! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the Gion district and just steps from the metro, making it incredibly easy to explore the city.
