"The Hotel looked really nice from outside but BEWARE booking this hotel on Expedia. We booked a room over a year in advance and after driving 300 miles for 6 hours the desk workers informed us that the hotel doesn't actually recognise booking made through Expedia. We were not informed of this until we turned up only to find we had no where to stay for the night. "This is the second time that I have stayed at the Dragon Inn. Generally it has been good. The only dissapointing thing for me is that breakfast does not start until 8am, which for a work trip is getting a little too late. Also, the cooked breakfast is now an optional extra, whereas in 2024 it was included. The entrance to the car park is dreadful."

"The room had everything we needed, and we managed to get extra coffee when we required it. The staff were very helpful and made our visit run smoothly. For our stay, the air conditioning in the room was a bonus, as it was during a very hot spell. We didn't watch the TV, but it looked to have everything you might need on there. "Family room sofa beds were broken advised a double but very small, and dirty. No hot water. The housekeeper was waiting to service the rooms at 9am and breakfast had finished."

"Excellent Breakfast. Unfortunately the extraction fan in the bathroom made a high pitched whistling which was audible even with the door closed. Apparently we were told that it was not possible to turn this off."
