"Good"

"We had a great stay. We checked in on wed night and had to walk through some really loud music (a bit concerned at this point) but our room was pleasantly sound proofed from the noise. The first night I found the bed springy and hard to sleep in but I emailed management and Cameron quickly put a bed topper on for us and I slept like a baby the next night. "Clean and great location, good value for money."

"Loved our stay here. Very quiet room, clean and cosy. Fabulous staff, especially Shannon. Good food too. Highly recommend."

"Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent."

"The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. "It was an ok visit but we wouldn't go back - just wasn't an inviting experience - and no dinner served on Monday meant we had to go out"

"Perfect location (two minute walk to daughter's house); excellent breakfasts, particularly the porridge; fun pub downstairs, loved a cappella rehearsal."

"I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again."

"A wonderful hotel, everything was super nice, the room, (given a upgrade), the food outstanding, and the friendliest you could have ever meet. Definitely will book when next in the area."

"Place excellent great staff nice food only problem was there was no chair in my room if you lay on the bed you fall asleep but great place"

"Norma was absolutely wonderful, helpful and efficient. The accommodation was clean and tidy, shower was great. Breakfast was well varied and tasty. Evening meal was excellent. Bar and staff were good. Will be visiting again 😊"

"Door was already unlocked when we arrived 28th Oct even though key was in secure unit which seemed a bit strange considering the place is shut on a Wednesday. Main light didn't work only table lamp."
