Dear Jay, Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel and for your positive comments on our staff, they endeavored to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The manager worked overtime to try to make your visit enjoyable. Thank you as well for the favourable comment on the beds and driver. Unfortunately we have to agree with you that the description on Expedia does not match the hotel and we would like to explain why. eOcambo took over the hotel last year after it had already been operating, the description was written by the former management. Despite several attempts to change it to reflect the hotel as it is now, Expedia will not allow us to alter anything but the name. However, due to your feedback we are again going to attempt to convince Expedia that the description does not reflect the hotel. Your comment about 1000 sq feet for the room size is a case in point, that is over 300sq meters and no room in our hotel is that size! The confusing payment system is also Expedia, not eOcambo, there is nothing we can do to change their payment methods. Now I would like to address your other concerns. We have taken on board your comment about a lack of space to hang clothing in the shower room and we are investigating installing hooks or another method to address this. Very few hotels under four floors have elevators in Cambodia, unless the hotel is part of an international corporate chain. We have investigated the feasibility of installing elevators but the cost is prohibitive and we would be forced to raise our room rates to unrealistic prices. The larger family rooms are located on the first and second floors, this was explained and you were offered these rooms but you elected to stay on the ground floor and were given a 20% discount. It was not possible to arrange the early check in because the rooms were still occupied as our manger explained when you checked in. The first floor rooms were ready, but they were not suitable for your party who wished to stay on the ground floor. Free airport transfers were provided The step you mentioned is two very different colours, and goes from a tiled floor in one room to the wooden floor in another. We are at a loss as to how to make it more obvious without installing a bright yellow ugly industrial strip along the step which will mar the appearance of the room. We do everything in our power to keep the mosquitos down; however in a hot, wet, tropical country like Cambodia, it is impossible to eradicate them completely. As you mentioned, mosquito coils are available and we will spray your room if requested. We do carry out mosquito eradication methods regularly and have ecofriendly traps discreetly hidden around the hotel and garden.
