The naturally beautiful setting is so relaxing and calming. Dipping in the pool after a long warm day at Angkor Wat refreshes in every way. This was our second stay here and will definitely return.

Hôtel parfait
Tout était parfait ! L'hôtel, la chambre, le jardin, la piscine, l'amabilité de tout le personnel, l'accueil, la restauration, la situation à 7 mn à pied du marché. Rien de négatif, si je reviens à Siem Reap, je séjournerai dans cet hôtel, c'est sûr. Le rapport qualité/prix est top. C'est le meilleur hôtel (sur 5) de notre séjour au Cambodge.

Beautiful gardens and secluded from street noise and traffic, nice pool, great personalized service at any hour of day or night. Great location close enough to walk to Pub street but also some great cheaper nearby restaurants. Room and especially bathroom was clean but a little worn and in need of a makeover. Still a very nice place to stay and would definitely recommend.

Well run enjoyable boutique hotel. Beautiful well kept grounds. Friendly helpful staff. Great pool area. Very good value. Nice hotel to just hangout in if you have a few spare hours. We truly enjoyed our stay here. Would recommend to friends.

Family stay
Lovely stay here with our family of 4. The staff was attentive and helped arrange a tuk tuk driver for our trips out to the temples. The pool was a welcome relief from the heat of the day. I would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. Easy walk to the action around pub street.

Pleasant Neighborhood
I stayed here for my second week in Siem Reap after staying a resort close by. The grounds are amazing for a small hotel. There a small pool area set up as a watering hole for deer. Many of the trees are named and the two gardeners do a great job keeping it in shape. I had soup as a breakfast option everyday with a fruit plate and passion juice. Good coffee and better iced coffee for later in the day. My favorite Cambodian dish was fish amok and morning glory. Their cheeseburgers were also tasty. Several interesting restaurants in the area and a French bakery. Best part of the room was the patio outside, what a great recliner to relax in. Do catch the cultural show at the Angkor Resort. It can be booked from Sonalong. Pool is a decent size and quiet during day. Will stay here again.

Very nice!
A little slice of heaven. Tucked away and still close to town. Lovely pool and very helpful staff. Organised a tuk tuk for the day to see Angkor wat. A very relaxing stay. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend this boutique hotel.perfect location,in a quiet street but literally a 5 minute walk to the hussle and bussle of pub street and night market. The hotel organised our tours for us and were very helpful and friendly staff. The pool area is excellent,so peaceful and relaxing,perfect after a long hot day. Breakfast was lovely,you can choose between,continental,American or Cambodia .we tried them all and they were lovely.great value for money.

Quiet Location
I arrived the hotel before their check-in tme, however they allow me to check-in friendly and a cold welcome drink. The room was clean. They provide us free wifi, but they changed it's password without any notice so that I could not use it 2 days until I found out. They should notice to existing guests. And, I used their laundry service, my clothes mixed up with others, and take 4-5 hours to find out all my clothes. At the end, I requested to arrange taxi service from hotel to airport, they did not arrange it and gave me free tuk tuk service. However, the reason why I requested taxi was for air conditioner. From hotel to airport takes 20 minutes and it wad very hot season so that I needed taxi. A good thing is their breakfast which they served fresh juice, fresh fruits, toasts,coffee, and omlet.

Hermoso hotel, la habitación re amplia y con todas las comodidades, el desayuno muy rico, la pileta y todas las instalaciones hermosas, el personal amable. La única queja es que reserve la habitación con servicio de traslado al aeropuerto gratuito y les escribí para que me vayan a buscar cuando llegaba y nunca me contestaron, después para ir cuando estaba ahí sí me llevaron sin ningún problema. Salvo eso todo bien!

Amazing hotel!
This is an amazing hotel. The location is great. Although that doesn't matter much because no matter where you go in or out of town there is always a tuk tuk (taxi) to take you. The hotel grounds were beautiful. The resort was clean and inviting. The rooms are large. The beds are pretty firm, but were not uncomfortable. The hotels.com listing stated that bottles of water and breakfast was included, but this was not the case. Breakfast was anywhere from$3-7 dollars, and was worth every penny! The breakfast is so amazing that I did not mind paying. The room refrigerator was stalked with a local beer, coca cola, and liter bottles of water. One liter of water was $1. Six beers or six sodas were one dollar. They will even do your laundry if you leave your dirty clothes in the hamper. It is based on weight but costs roughly $1 per load. They wash and iron your clothes the same day. By dinner just pick your clothes up at the front desk. The rooms are large. The bathrooms are dark, so ladies bring a mirror to do your makeup in the room where it is bright. The best part of this hotel is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and remembers your name. They speak to you every time they see you. They love to get to know you. The bartender makes all the drinkd fresh. They slice all the fruit in front of you for the cocktails. This is an amazing hotel. You will not be disappointed!

A jungle oasis a walk away from downtown
My husband and I spent three nights at Sonalong Boutique Village & Resort while on our honeymoon. The staff was fantastic, start to finish, and helped us plan and get set up for two days touring the temples. The grounds were meticulously maintained. We spent every afternoon at the pool which was a nice break after being in the heat all day. Breakfast was complementary and the coffee was outstanding! The room was comfortable and stocked with $1 USD beers which we enjoyed several of while relaxing in the lounge chairs on our private porch. It was so nice to be able to be close enough to walk into town but to also be a little removed from the hustle and bustle as well. I can't say enough about our experience here, it was truly magical!

Sonalong liegt sehr ruhig etwas am Rand von Siem Reap und man ist zu Fuß in 5 Minuten am Markt und in der Pub Street. Das Ressort selber hat einen schönen, gepflegten Garten und auch großen Pool. Die Zimmer sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und das Badezimmer könnte auch überholt werden. Dafür waren die Angestellten sehr engagiert und haben uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Frühstück ala carte ließ keine Wünsche offen und das Restaurant war ebenfalls sehr gut. Für ein 3 Sterne Ressort absolut ausreichend und gut.

Great place close to main centre.
Lovely setting, great rooms and pool close to hub of Siem Reap. Located within 5 min walk of pub street and 2 mins to kings corner restauarants and stores. Set in lush gardens this is a very welcoming retreat from the crush of SR tourist centre. Staff and owner very welcoming, helpful and generally go above and beyond to asssit their guests. Food in restaurant good, breakfasts very good.

A great place to stay
Chose Sonalong following excellent reviews on Tripadvisor and were very pleased we did so. The free-standing villas (one up, one down) were most comfortable and the huge verandas a bonus, although we didn't have much time to sit there. Although initially upset on checking-in because the room we were given wasn't what had been expected this was quickly sorted out the next day by very apologetic owner Mr Hak and changed to "proper" room. Given free dinner/dance show at local theatre and free dinner at Sonalong as way of apology which were kindly accepted. Had just come from 8 night stay at 5 star resort in Vietnam but I must say we really enjoyed Sonalong as much and such great value for money. Included cooked-to-order breakfasts excellent as was food we enjoyed for lunch and dinner and so very cheap. Cheeseburger for $3.50 unbelievable value. The garden and pool area are really lovely and the staff very friendly and obliging. A special mention to Mr Joy, the Night Receptionist, who provided assistance and support on our first disappointing night and throughout our stay. Even took us on an additional temple tour on our last day. Because we had a late flight out at 6.30 pm Mr Hak arranged our bags be stored in an empty room until we checked out at 4 pm so we could shower and change later. Excellent service!

The best of Boutique accommodation
This was the fourth time i have stayed at this Hotel. Each time i have returned i have found that small improvements have been made & a spa is the latest addition since my last visit. The units are set in a tropical garden which is meticulously maintained & the swimming pool is always clean & refreshing. Mr Hak & is staff are wonderful hosts

Lovely hotel, friendly staff.
All the staff were friendly, kind and welcoming especially Mr Rith (our driver), who met us at the airport with a warm smile, drove us on all our tours, and returned us safely back to the airport five days later. We are a family of four and were given two interconnecting rooms with a large spacious balcony. The hotel was set in beautiful gardens and the pool area was lovely, with plenty of shade. Everything was clean. Breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty and there was a good choice. The orange juice was freshly squeezed. Sal was effecient and organised our tours which were amazing. Chin (our guide)was very imformative and interesting. The hotel was within walking distance of the centre of Siem Reep which had a good night market and a picturesque river area.

Man kümmerte sich super um uns. Das Hotel liegt fussläufig etwa 15 Gehminuten von den Einkaufs-Shops entfernt. Mit dem Tuk-Tuk ist man in ca. 15 - 20 Minuten am Angkor Wat oder Tonle Sap. Das Hotel verfügt über einen ausreichend großen Pool, welcher nach unseren Ausflügen Entspannung bot. Die Cocktails im Haus sind nicht das was wir kennen. Der Mojito wurde ohne Minze serviert. Frühstück ist super, da ausreichende Auswahl. Pickup vom und zum Flughafen funktionierte bestens. Unser Hotelsafe war nicht zu gebrauchen, da defekt.

Very happy with our stay here. Nice pool with bar close at hand. Room was great and very big. Staff were super friendly and eager to please. Very helpful. We tried the whole fish meal, having heard other quests extoll it's virtues. Excellent meal and very tasty. Need to make sure the cook is on duty if staying in for a meal though. We had a meal one night when the staff were away at a wedding and it was very average. Price for meals and drink are not too bad. Very handy to town; markets, eateries and bars - 5-10 minute walk. Tuk tuks located outside and they don't rip you off. Get the cost to where you are going from the hotel first.

we loved our stay here. We had the family suite upstairs with adjoined bedrooms and a beautiful huge patio. The pool was quite nice especially after seeing the temples. You can either take a ten minute walk to night market or catch a tuk tuk for $2us. The hotel arraigned tour guide and car which was excellent. Some language issues when ordering food, but staff is very helpful.

Kleine Oase in der Hitze
Das Sonalong Boutique Hotel können wir allen empfehlen, die gerne in kleineren, persönlich geführten Hotel absteigen. Empfang und Service waren hervorragend, das am Pool servierte Frühstück sehr gut. Das zweistöckige, im Kolonialstil erbaute Hotel gruppiert sich in mehreren Häusern um einen wunderbaren Garten, dessen Bäume nicht nur Schatten spenden, sondern alle auch erklärt werden. Die Zimmer sind gut, die Betten bequem. Von den schönen Veranden schaut man in den Garten. Der Pool ist sauber und erfrischend, auf den Liegen sind genug Badetücher und die Bar macht gute Cocktails. Bei allen Fragen und Buchungen wie Fahrräder, Asparakarten, Tuktuks, Wäsche oder Schiffskarten kümmert sich die Rezeption sehr zuverlässig und charmant. Zu Fuß gelangt man in 5 Min. ins Zentrum.

Bon pied-à-terre proche du centre
LES +: Petit hôtel simple, belle piscine, magnifique parc. Les chambres sont simples, assez sombres, la salle de bain correcte (ne pas s'attendre à grand chose pour les articles de toilette gratuits, un vieux pousse-pousse rechargeable, du savon, des brosses à dents). L'hôtel est suffisamment près du centre pour qu'on puisse y aller à pied. LES -: Attention toutefois: l'eau dans cet hôtel est payante! A moins qu'on ne vous ait assassiné avec de sombres frais et taxes (nous avons eu 12 euros par jour, sans savoir à quoi cela correspondait!!!) Les tuk-tuk pour visiter les temples sont à 15 dollars la journée, SAUF si vous partez pour le lever du soleil, là vous avez une surtaxe, ce qui n'est généralement pas le cas ailleurs. Des petits côtés désagréables comme ça qui me font hésiter à le recommander.
