"We stayed three days and it was a fine hotel for the price. We could have stayed down the road at the $362 per night place, but that was out of the question, budget-wise. This place was responsive to requests and even allowed us to switch to a more accessible room. Parking was good, the rooms were OK - considering the age of the building. Maintenance is an issue there, but again, considering the age of the building, they are trying to keep up."

"Great location on a beautiful part of the river. The hotel definitely needs updating but it was clean and cozy. The guy working the front desk was extremely friendly and kind. We will definitely stay here again. "

"Great Stay with kids - walk to the park, eat next door at iconic Yecks drive in, short drive into town and the state park for swimming. Kids really enjoyed their stay. Also only a short drive to Mackinac City, the Michilimackinac Fort and St. Ignace across the mighty Mac. Bridge. "

The room was spacious and clean; the staff was very friendly and helpful; the price was reasonable; the breakfast was good; and the place was in a convenient location. "We got to our room and the air conditioner was not working blowing out heat. They came and looked at it. And they got us a different room. The first room had a microwave. The second room did not. Like the patio and had a good view. "

"It was an older place to stay but one of the cleanest and had the most pleasant staff. Everyone working were very nice, we had no room service daily but if we needed anything, not a problem. Balcony was perfect to watch the Saturday night fireworks. Very close to downtown but far enough away to be private."

"Location was perfect unfortunately a group of under age kids started to play ding- dong- ditch at 11pm at night. It was nasty! A lot of us had to complain that the children where left alone at the hotel while parents went out to party .."
