"This property was grossly misrepresented. The positives are the location (walk to the Yonge+Weldrick bus stop, take the bus to Finch, and the train to Union Station), and shopping nearby (Walmart and Tim Horton's within walking distance). The shower was decent though the shower spray holder was falling off and the toilet seat had a loose bolt. The negatives are many. First and foremost, the room was extremely small and poorly appointed. No sheets on the bed - just matress cover and a comforter. Two towels - no washcloths or hand towels. Second, the desk and side tables barely fit and were old and beat up. The bathroom was very small. More importantly, the laundry facility was outside the room and shared by 5 rooms. The kitchen was also outside the room and shared. There was a small food prep table, nowhere to sit and enjoy a meal - not even outside. The room amenities were misrepresented. But there is more. The rooms were poorly sound insulated, so you could hear everything. The bed was very soft and worn out IMHO. People shared space in the refrigerator, and there were barely enough utensils to have a meal with - just a bunch of random plates, pots, pans and silverware. And the ants... there were ants everywhere including crawling across the bed. When I pointed this out to the cleaning lady, she mumbled something about the owners and did nothing about it. This property is apparently a house that was converted into 5 rental rooms in a residential neighborhood."

"Room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately the water was not as hot as it should have been on the first night. Staff was helpful and efficient. When we asked for additional coffee packs and pillows they arrived immediately. Breakfast was well stocked but some items were overcooked or dried out. We also saw a staff member refilling the sliced fruit with his bare hands and no gloves which was a little concerning. Dinner in the restaurant posed some challenges as they seemed understaffed and stressed, but the majority of the food was good. Overall a pleasant stay."

"The property was clean, tidy and in a great location for our specific needs on the trip. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast area was quite modern with a variety of sitting arrangements and a great outdoor space. The hotel is a very quiet neighborhood and safety was never an issue for us. It is close to major roads and public transportation. The staff were awesome and we were explained the parking charge during the checking process. We didn't get to use the pool and thus I can't speak about it. Lots of families were there during our stay. Overall, if we are back to Markham, we would definitely stay here again."
