"During our stay, the hotel was undergoing construction. While I understand that maintenance and renovations are necessary and often difficult to schedule around guest occupancy, construction work began promptly at 7:00 a.m. each morning and was taking place directly outside our window, which was disruptive.
The room itself was average. It appeared somewhat dated and in need of updating, and the lighting throughout the room—particularly in the bathroom—was inadequate.
We stayed for three nights, and on the morning of our third day, the elevator was out of service. Since we were on the second floor, using the stairs was not an issue for us personally. However, I was concerned about how guests with mobility limitations or other accessibility needs would have managed.
The lobby is relatively small, but the adjacent seating and bar area is inviting and provides a more comfortable space to relax. There is also a small market available for convenience, though the prices were quite high.
One thoughtful touch was the complimentary drink vouchers provided for the bar during happy hour. Unfortunately, we were visiting Universal Studios and returned after the 7:00 p.m. cutoff each evening, so we were unable to use them. Nevertheless, it was a nice gesture and appreciated.
Overall, while there were some positives, the construction noise, outdated room condition, and elevator outage impacted our experience. I would rate this hotel a 6/10."
