"As a beach resort, I expect the hotel to properly handle things like red tide (dead algae) and bugs. The first night, we enjoyed dinner at the outside restaurant (sat on the patio for just over an hour). The next day I woke up to over 100 bug bites on my toes, ankles and legs (up to the knee). "This hotel is very well priced for what you get. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is pretty good as well. I haven't been to the pool and only used the gym once. It's small, but clean and has water and towels. I like that it is not next to the highway, but it is a couple of minutes from it, and there are nearby stores and restaurants in case you need anything. Very comfortable, quiet place, and worth every penny."
