I was very disappointed when I got to the Dakota. There were no signs on there website stating the pool was closed or when I called I didn’t get a heads up. They do offer a 10% discount for the pool being closed but you have to call a completely different number and get “approved” for your discount. We got our room number and as we were walking the hall ways were ice cold to the point it was uncomfortable. The hallway smelt like alcohol and cigarettes (someone was smoking in there room) and reaked of water damage and mold (mind you I am 6 months pregnant) We got into our room and it looked like the only thing that was cleaned was the bedding. The floors had white stuff on the carpet, dirt and crumbs on the counters. The ceiling had dust hanging off of it and the sink and bath tub had hairs all over it. I had tried to take a shower anyways because my body was in pain from being pregnant, I couldn’t even do that the water pressure was so low, and they had no bathtub stopper. The curtain had looked yellow the towels had brown stuff on it like it was not washed. The air fan for the bathroom was stacked with dust and the ceiling looked like it was falling apart. I am highly allergic to mold and felt like I couldn’t breath the whole night. I woke up coughing up blood in my mucus. I had looked on there site of how to get my money back because I had paid for two nights and highly regretted it but they don’t do refunds unless 24 hours in advance. I still would like my refund.
