"My second stay at The Glen, friendly staff/owners. Different room this time round but really spacious, clean and with all you would need for a break away. Breakfast is still really good with a wide selection and freshly cooked. Ideal hotel for my needs being situated close to family and excellent for days out within the Borders and close to Tweedbank for the train to Edinburgh with free parking. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again."

"I went down for breakfast at 7.30....a bit later than I usually would, but everything was closed. I tried calling the number on the front desk but didn't get an answer. The room is decent but the bed was very hard."

"The property was easy to find. We were met at the door and were made to feel very welcome. Our hosts discussed the accommodation itself followed by a welcoming brew and a chat regarding the local area, places to eat and our breakfast order for the morning. We were recommended a lovely Italian restaurant in nearby St Boswells which was really nice. The views from our room were beautiful and really peaceful. "Was a little further from Selkirk than expected/noticed at booking but was worth the extra miles. Bus didn’t stop so had to book a taxi from Selkirk. The hotel was helpful and offered to come pick us up if needed! Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent."

"Fantastic location with 11 acres, river in grounds and Abbey ruins next door. Had dinner in restaurant which was excellent as was breakfast the next day. Used as a stop off for one night from Aberdeenshire to the midlands and same price as well known hotel chains. An issue with bed on arrival but sorted out by receptionist promptly."

"One night stay in this historic house now being used as a hotel located a short walking distance from Hawick centre set in an attractive garden with a wonderful park nearby. Lovely interior with large attractive lounge, entrance hallway and staircase. Large bedroom and en suite bathroom. The Large king-size bed was firm and therefore not that comfortable. Breakfast was a standard traditional option with cereal and juices. Not much interaction with staff except at check in and ordering breakfast....
