The staff was friendly, the location was fine, and it was a quick walk-through Totem Park to reach downtown Sitka. The room was comfortable. Snacks available 24 hours a day were cool, but I was disappointed that there was no real breakfast, just the same snacks. The area is very industrial, providing the old dusty town feel. The view of mountains and surrounding beauty is prevalent, something that is a natural attraction to Sitka. This hotel is on par with all the other hotels in town, nothing to get excited about, however, a person should never come to Sitka for the hotel, they go there for the Alaska experience... or work.
