"Place is beautiful, very classy."

"We stayed 5 days in the ground floor coach house room which was a lovely, large room with a sitting and dinning area as well as a private patio area. The room was lovely, AC worked great on an extremely hot week and the breakfast, all days snacks and common area were great as well. The staff was helpful with tips about things to do in the area. We had a great visit."

"This was for a quick night sleep. Not going to lie, it felt a bit sketchy at first glance, but I was pleasantly surprised. The employee was friendly and helpful at check in. The room was clean and did not have a smoke smell. I will say the outside doors to our building had a card reader to get in but you did not need a card, which kind of creeped me out security wise but it was fine. They had a good selection of breakfast items, make your own waffle machine, eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, yogurt,...

"Great location, but the hotel obviously is old. Time for mattress and pillow replacements. Hard and lumpy. Add a little insulation to the walls as well. Didn’t get time to experience the breakfast or pool or any other amenities…. It’s an old New England hotel and just needs a little TLC. Also mop the floors between guests. ;)"

"The place was fine--I don't demand much of a hotel. It is basically a place to sleep. However, more discerning travelers might have been upset by the fact that the supplemental door lock didn't work, one of the shelves in the closed was broken and the one day out of four that we had maid service, they seemed to only half finish the job. They may be very short of staff."

"The room smelled like the air conditioner filter had never been changed. The shower curtain bottom was sopped with water. The carpet was covered in debris. The television didn’t work. The nightstand lamp didn’t work and the desk lamp was missing a bulb. The window blinds were covered in filth. It was really bad."

"The front desk hostess upgraded us to a quieter 3rd floor room with 2 queen beds. Enjoyed our stay there; again friendly staff , clean premises (especially the bathroom) though tolerable musty odor probably from carpet."

"For a contactless check-in method, the staff were very accessible -easy to communicate with; the method was great. The room was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent. I met the owners and staff the morning after I checked in (late @ 11:45pm). They couldn't have been more hospitable. I stayed at the Walnut Inn out of necessity, attending a friend's father's funeral, and the Inn could not have been a better place for me to stay. "I really like the set up of the rooms in a Tru Hilton hotel. Beds are great, bathroom is great, hooks on the wall, a pull out desk so you can watch tv. Heating and cooling system works well. Great hotel."
