"Clean and comfortable "

"I have wanted to stay at this property for awhile and when I finally found a good deal, I booked it. Overall, I had a great experience. Check-in was ok but took a bit. Room was on the small size but totally functional. Loved the spacious shower. The room was bright and clean. The bed was just ok, a little too firm for me. Parking was on the tighter side but ok. Great location in terms of closeness to the boardwalk and wharf. Only downside heard a lot of road noise from the street but overall...

"Positives:Parking was on the property, easy and free. Short walk to the beach. Staff was helpful and polite. Negatives: No coffee, tiny towels, one tiny bottle of shampoo and 2 tiny bars of soap. "

"I needed a place to stay over the weekend here in Santa Cruz. When looking up nearby hotels to the event I wanted to go to, this one came up as close. Expedia shows this as a 7.8/10, but when you look it up on google, it says 2/5 star hotel. The thing that made me book the hotel in the first place was the fact that it was cheap and it had advertised on Expedia that it has SOUNDPROOF ROOMS.... this is an absolute lie. Once I got in my hotel room, the people in the conjoining room were blasting...

"The hotel has to very small hot tubs fits 3 people maybe 4, pool was nice and refreshing. Doesn’t offer breakfast, that was a bummer. No other amenities offered. Small parking lot. Room was nice with 2 kings bed, one had its own room. "

"Overall great location. Signs of reworked to doors and walls throughout the property. A small “trash” area behind the building can been seen with piled up old furniture, electronics, etc. the breakfast was also a bit expensive. Nevertheless, the food was good, the staff was amazing, the rooms were overall clean, and the amenities within the room were all amazing."

"Our room was okay, but we didn’t have water to shower, and the toilet kept getting stuck and the water would run unless we removed the top and push the chain down. The attendant didn’t seem bothered to do anything about it. We were only there for one night, and unfortunately, I would not stay there again."

"We had a great (partial) beach view from our room, even though we were on the street. It was really fun to be so close to the Boardwalk, even though the weather was rainy when we visited. Parking was on the interior of the hotel, and felt safe. It was very convenient to walk to Ideal and Firefish Restaurants - the hotel restaurant was being renovated. The staff was very friendly too. "I have stayed here three times in the past year. I am a quasi local. Friendly, clean, safe, local, uncomplicated. Lobby has space to sit and read, cozy fireplace, big windows, for when you want to give your travel companion space. Fresh brewed coffee in the morning, restaurant on site for lunch and dinner and the locals use the restaurant. Pool is heated when open for season, call ahead to confirm. It's a bit old school, you park in front of your room, rooms are updated, super functional but not...
