The staff help make this a great place to stay: from the shuttle drivers, to the front desk, breakfast and dining staff, bartenders- everyone was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is wonderful with lots of options, the pool and the view are… unbeatable and we had dinner there one night and it was great. The late checkout (noon!!!) helped get us a relaxed start to the next part of our journey and the reliability of the hotel’s shuttle stands in for the need for taxis. We had a pleasant surprise with the gym (you reserve and then you have it to yourself!) added a nice touch. It’s a really nice base for the Sorrento area and it feels relaxed and luxurious.

The property was clean, accessible and well maintained. The staff were friendly helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. Although the property is a wee distance from the town, the regular free shuttle bus into town was very handy and helpful meaning there was no limitation or cost to getting into town and beyond.

There were some problems when we first arrived, but the staff addressed those well which enabled us to have a good stay. Food was good, especially the buffet breakfast with a vast array of foods. The hotel is a bit dated but has some upgraded features that are nice. Overall, v.goof experience

Beautiful hotel, clean and spacious. Staff really nice and always happy to help. We knew it was set on a hill as we chose it for the view, you don’t need a sunset rooftop bar in the centre as you have got your own at the hotel. Breakfast had plenty of choice for everyone. The dafne restaurant food was amazing, we ate there for our anniversary and they brought us a cake, I recomend the red snapper. If you don’t have mobility issues it’s a lovely walk down to the centre (but it’s all up hill on the way back) but there is a brilliant free shuttle bus that runs most of the day and night every hour. When the shuttle isn’t running there is a public bus that stops outside the hotel. We got a taxi down to the port with our luggage which the reception arranged for us. Sorrento is absolutely beautiful whether you choose to spend your time round the pool relaxing soaking up the sun or seeing the sites, there’s something for everyone. We loved marina grande especially on an evening when it’s all lit up. Sorrento is the perfect base for neighbouring sites, we visited positano, Amalfi, Capri and Naples all by ferry and it was so easy. We spent 5 nights here and would happily return.

Although hotel is located up in the hills, the property offers a free shuttle bus from the closest station and the scenery from the hotel was spectacular, so great! Room was very spacious and clean - better than posted pictures in Expedia! I highly recommend and hope to visit there again! Hotel staff also tried to talk us in Japanese so also recommendable to Japanese

We had a room on the 5th floor with small ceiling windows but tons of space for a hotel in Italy. The washroom and closet were both huge and the air conditioning worked perfectly in the heat. Staff were attentive and the shuttle service to and from Sorrento train station was reliable. Breakfast was OK but the dinners at the hotel restaurant were some of the best meals we had on vacation. I also enjoyed the pool on the one day I was able to use it, though I wish that it would close later than 7 in the evenings.

Its all about the amazing view. Lovely pool area and friendly staff. A well equipped gym, that you have to book a timeslot for. Breakfast was good too. It is a bit of a walk into town, but there is a shuttle service back. We'd come back again here.

The Grand Hotel Aminta is a fantastic hotel with beautiful views over Sorrento. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms spotlessly clean. The breakfast is very nice and the food at the hotel is excellent. The real jewel is the staff. Every single one of them was so wonderfully helpful and they really made you welcome. Nothing is too much for them. The shuttle bus is a live saver when going back and forth into Sorrento, but be warned if you miss the last bus a cab is very expensive (€35-40) and the walk back up to the hotel is not for the faint hearted!

My husband and I had a great stay at Grand Hotel Amina! The staff were so kind and helpful - Lauren was the best with her recommends and guidance! Views were breathtaking and the shuttle was our key to getting around Sorrento and to the ferries. Highly recommend!

Very clean and comfortable room, we didn’t eat at the hotel other than breakfast which was fresh every day with a good selection of food on offer from hot food to cold meats & cheeses, pastries, fruit, cereals, yogurt , staff were all very helpful and friendly. Parking was fine, the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a space. Hotel Shuttle bus is very useful to get down into Sorrento and runs well. Views are lovely too. We only stayed two nights so can’t comment more but we’re more than happy with everything during our stay. When trying to to travel outside of bus running times (it was a really hot day and we just wanted to get back to shower and not wait for the shuttlebus) we were quoted 35 Euros for a local taxi from the centre up to the hotel. We decided to wait for the shuttle bus however would recommend I giardini di cataldo close to the pick up car park for gelato, or refreshing drink to sit and cool down, while you wait for the shuttle bus currently the cafe closes at 8pm. Overall a most enjoyable stay, wish we had stayed longer and hope to return again some day.

Lovely hotel, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. The free shuttle makes it a great choice. Lauren on reception was super friendly and helpful for our short stay. We requested two rooms together and she went out of her way to help us. Lovely breakfast, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Excellent cocktails in the bar in the evening, somebody behind the bar definitely knows what they are doing. Recommended.

Great place up on the hills in a quiet area. Hotel provide a shuttle to the main Sorrento area back and forth. Great friendly staff, excellent breakfast and a nice bar and pool area. Rooms are very comfortable and the view is spectacular. I will definitely recommend this place.
