Lovely hotel that is was converted from a family home. The proprietor, Claudio, is incredibly kind and quick with suggestions and even walked me around town when I first arrived to help me learn my way around. Only drawback is that the walls are somewhat thin so I could hear it every time someone made a caffè in the lobby.

We truly enjoyed our stay and the place hotel was in a very convenient area located near all the restaurants, shops and ports. We were very surprised that the unit we were in did not have a window, I know... who thinks to ask if the room has a window? There is no one there to ask questions and there was no laundry or breakfast available as stated on the website. These was a coffee machine, but it didn't work. All in all I would stay there again, but I think the website should better represent what's available.

This is not a "hotel" as you would usually think of one. It is more of a serviced apartment. We had to call a number to check in, and were lucky that the lady doing the cleaning was in the building to help us get checked in. The front desk is not really staffed as you might expect. The room was tiny as was the bathroom. No room to set up your toiletries. The location is great! Only a half block to the main piazza, and easy to walk to most of Sorrento's main attractions, restaurants and shopping. Our stay was fine, but I probably would choose a more traditional hotel next time with more amenities and services.

La Magnolia Sorrento is well location near the center of Sorrento: 6 mins walk from the bus station, 1 mins from Piazza Tasso, next door to hotel is a little fresh grocery store of fruits, vegetables, breads and cheeses etc for snacks and breakfast items, a wine store, and a excellent pizza and pasta restaurant. 6-8 mins you can walk to Piazza Antonio and walk down to the ferry station or take a lift down. It is also well located to many restaurants , shopping and little grocery stores. The hotel room and washroom are spacious and clean. There is a coffee machine in the lobby for the guests to use. All the items listed on the website are accurate. The daily cleaning services was excellent. Claudio provided us with information of where to eat good food. He is on point with following up on your enquiries and needs. He gave us the best concierge services of a 5 Star Hotel. He goes over and beyond your expectations. His services makes your stay at Sorrento memorable and wanting to come back soon.

Excellent choice for Central Sorrento.

Claudio was our host and was very friendly and had lots of suggestions for things to do. He directed us to two fabulous family restaurants. One restaurant was very close. He walked with us and introduced us to the husband and wife team. We loved Stefanos playlist…which was heard in every room. We also loved the food and went back the next day. The hotel room was sufficient and clean. The entrance to the property is a large metal gate because this is also the family home. This small hotel has seven rooms and in a great location for walking most places. But if you need a ride, Taxi service is outside across the street. It was an excellent choice for us.

A must stay in Sorrento

The owner Claudio went out his way to make our stay the best, with great recommendations on restaurants, and due to a rail strike he helped with finding us alternative transportation to Naples so we wouldn’t miss our train to Rome. The location is perfect within the town center making everything an easy walk. The rooms are very clean with maid service every day.

Claudio’s property is situated in the most perfect spot for someone looking to experience Sorrento and the touristy activities accessible via Sorrento like the amalfi coast or even a Pompeii/vesuvius excursion. Claudio also has many useful connections in the town which will help make your experience more personal and memorable. The room itself was very comfortable with great AC. The furniture was all very nice and it felt extremely safe. The property is located behind a metal gate which adds to the feeling of safety. Sorrento as a whole feels very safe but the extra insurance in an unfamiliar place is welcome. Claudio himself is an excellent host and a great conversationalist. He is not only an interesting person but he is very helpful and was available via WhatsApp for any questions or needs during my stay. Being able to have a “boots on the ground” connection when looking for the best breakfast or the best place for drinks is extremely useful. Would definitely stay here again.

Proprietor Claudio made himself available whenever I had a question. He was kind enough to make multiple recommendations of places to eat, visit and see, even for other places in other cities; walked me to locations to ensure I found the right place; set up a last-minute tour that I wanted to do; and took time to talk with and get to know me. He not only has connections all across the city of Sorrento and beyond, but he genuinely cares about his guests having an exceptional time. Be aware that La Magnolia does not have some amenities like an elevator/lift for second-floor rooms or a breakfast, but there are plenty of places within a five-minute walk that do offer sit-down or takeaway service. Would absolutely stay again. The rooms are also very charming and classic.

We felt very happy to learn a little about the area and found lovely restaurants and places to visit. The hotel is clean and had everything we needed for our stay in beautiful Sorrento.

The manager, Claudio, was incredibly helpful when we lost our luggage on the way out. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was in a really convenient place to access all of Sorrento's delights. Definitely a great choice!

Claudio was Awesome! He went out of his way to make sure my wife and myself were taken care of. He went out of his way several times in regards to our comfort. The property is in the middle of everything. Couldn’t ask for a better stay and customer service. He actually saved us due to my error on stay dates! He will return and stay with him for sure. Claudio helped us in anything we needed and also gave us some advice for our tours. He was very nice asking us if we needed medical assistance when we were not feeling well.
