This was a wonderful stay with my family! Location was amazing, close to everything - shops, restaurants, and the port where all the ferries and beaches are. Street is not drivable (pedestrians only) so be prepared to walk all your luggage from the drop off point, about 5-10 minutes in our case, on cobblestone. Staff was wonderful. Would stay again!

We enjoyed our time at Old Taverna. The room was above the restaurant in the heart of shopping & restaurants. Being our first visit to Sorrento, it was perfect being in the heart of all the action. The room was lovely with old world charm, which added to the experience. The area was busy but not noisy. It is in the middle of the 'no driving' area so there is no traffic noise. The lift to the beach & ferries is a 10-15 minute walk. We easily walked to meet up points for our scheduled tours. I have nothing negative to stay except I wish we could have stayed longer!

Una muy pintoresca location para quedarse en Sorrento. Permite recorrer todo a pie. La host es super amena y servicial. El lugar complementa la belleza de la ciudad.

The check in experience was poor. Communication from Deborah was poor. No answer on the phone, door ringer, nothing. The neighboring restaurant opened the street door for us and we found an inside door with a key in it and my name on a sticky. No information on check in/out, recommendations given, help to get a blanket… Getting past the check in, the room was clean, spacious, and the bed was fine. The eclectic design gave you a taste of past and present Italy. The location was nice, plenty of restaurants and gelato around. Easy to walk to the port. Mornings were quiet and nights were late, but the shutters blocked the sound so it was relaxing. WiFi wasn’t good, it was on and off, and usually weak. There is a rooftop with chairs. Nice way to end a busy day with a drink. Maria was there each morning, she was great. She had all the information we needed for our stay.

La suite es hermosa. Pero debo aclarar que María la dueña nunca contestó mis mensajes, al llegar no había nadie esperándonos. Su familia es dueña del restaurante y heladería de abajo, mismos que nunca nos dijeron que le llamarían. Un empleado del restaurante me auxilio porque se me bajó la presión, pero ninguno nos dijo que la conocían y la buscarían. La señora de limpieza el día del check out ya estaba tocándonos media hora antes para que nos saliéramos. Repito la suite hermosa, en la callesita de mas transito, pero ningún tipo de ayuda, indicaciones, ni respuesta. No es un hotel, se supone que es un bed and breakfast, desayuno no hubo tampoco. Tiene una cocineta con refrigerador, pero tampoco hay agua ni nada. Solo una suite hermosa. Para dos personas, maximo tres.

This property is so beautiful and unique. We all felt like royalty and were treated so by our host. It is a wonderful neighborhood for shopping, dining and people watching. A great place to stay for a few days or much longer as the rooms felt like a home, albeit a very luxurious one. A must for those who appreciate find surroundings.

Had a awesome experience

I felt like I’m home, good to family trip,they don’t have a front desk but I wrote to the property one day before,they answered really fast,when I reached the property somebody was waiting for us and gave keys and instructions. The family own a gelato and coffee place and also a restaurant downstairs. Both really good. Maria is awesome and lovely.Really good location!!!

Four of us stayed in the largest room at this property. It would probably have been more comfortable for three as there is a lot of furniture in the room already (the room would probably be more comfortable if some of it was removed). The ceiling painting was beautiful and the double bed was giant and very comfortable. The lady running the property was very pleasant. The bathroom was pleasant however the shower was somewhat more basic than was expected from the photos. The property is on a pedestrian street in a very busy part of town however the room itself was fairly quiet.

a very nice welcome by Maria..Breakfast in our room each day ,great always have to go out usual. Also on our last day our transfer went wrong somewhere,Maria was extremely helpful even using her own mobile to sort it out.At the end it was all sorted.I would like to thank Maria for all her help and we would definitely go back .

The "Old Taverna" is located in the central historic, car-free (and mostly scooter-free) area of Sorrento. It's Piano 2 location have 2 small balconies overlooking the busiest shopping street in Sorrento. Full of shops of all kinds and an equally large assortment of restaurants, it was also walking distance from the bus and train stations, the Port (ferries to Capri and elsewhere) and the rest of the area. The hotel is more of a B&B than a hotel, with only 3 rooms. But what a room we had! paintings on the walls and ceilings, a huge king bed and a living room, with a small kitchenette area, plus an suite bathroom, with an adult sized shower. Beautiful!! Our hostess, Maria, was as kind, charming and helpful and she could possibly have been. This was a last minute choice for us, for our final 4 night in Italy, but we couldn't have picked a more charming, interesting place to stay if we spent days looking. Highly recommended!!

Great location but air on not cold, have to open windows and is noisy. Hard to find the location even with google maps. Not a hotel, B&B. Poor breakfast, only chocolate n a piece of bread.
