"staff attitude was a rang between kind and indifferent. Stay was listed as a GUESTHOUSE, however, there is an ex-hostel vibe to it. Nothing was actually correct in the listing I feel. I went to the junior suite, there was no Internet available. And when I mentioned this to the front desk, I was told that this is a known thing that happens in that room. I had meetings I needed to be in and because I didn’t have Internet access the international data plan I had with my phone ended up cutting out when I was with a client. Very embarrassing. Especially since I specifically purchased this room for the Internet. Also no laundry facilities as listed. It was very loud. Not only from the upstairs but also neighboring rooms. The listing says it is soundproof, but I could hear people snoring from other rooms as well as the loud footsteps from above. There was mold in the shower. The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor, which I did bring up to the front desk and he also seemed in different when I mentioned this. Additionally, the listing said that there was an iron however you need to put a €20 deposit to use it and there is no ironing board. The listing also stated that there was laundry facilities, but there was not when I asked about where to do laundry, I would’ve had to leave the property. Which I did. All in all, I don’t appreciate being lied to when I’m booking a reservation and don’t recommend this facility as a result. You have been warned."

"Beautiful hotel which is spotlessly clean and staffed by the most lovely people. My husband and I were discussing how lucky the hotel is to have such brilliant people. Everyone of them couldn’t do enough and it wasn’t “ forced” as they all were so naturally lovely. From the lovely lady who checked us in on arrival then the cleaners who were excellent. Then Ivanilda in the breakfast room who went out of her way to help us choose the beach / island we visited. Then she checked on us the next day to ask where we went and if we enjoyed it. The rooftop was lovely and the pool was freezing cold as expected for early season in May but was refreshing once in! The indoor spa area was really lovely too. Perfect hotel in a perfect location. Thank you!"

"Spotless room which was light and airy. 2 minute walk to supermarket with small cafe. Window had sliding door mechanism which kept out morning light and noise. Perfect for overnight stay for early morning flight."

"The breakfast was buffet, we had a lot of choice plus hot omlettes and vegan sausages. However, i feel in most 5 star hotels you have more hot food options like hot pancakes and english breakfasts. The hotel is near so many restaurants and shops are 10 mins walk. Overall room was clean however we had to ask for slippers, spa access didn’t include sauna and steam. It just wasn't a fully 5 star stay! They made a real effort for my parents anniversary! "

"We booked this hotel for one night at the end of a three week trip. We arrived on a Sunday late evening after a long drive from Lisbon. Parking was very hard to find and had to walk a long way back to the hotel. Our room had a kettle and cups but no tea or coffee .When I went to reception to ask for tea and coffee I was told I could purchase some from them!!! or bring my own? We are global travellers and irrespective of hotel class where a kettle was provided there would be tea /coffee, I would have to purchase a box of tea bags a carton of milk and a packet of sugar. We were flying back home next morning making this a waste of money. The floor of our room was dirty under foot when you walk in bare feet. I later enquired about about the price of their wine and the prices were astronomical considering Portuguese wine is so reasonable this was taking the proverbial. The cooked breakfast was a bit disappointing, scrambled eggs very runny, bacon not real" bacon" no sausages, mushrooms or tomatoes . In a nutshell disappointing all around . Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend."
