"This place ended up a pleasant surprise. We would definitely visit again. On the down side was technology. The dish TV was basically impossible to get going, we gave up. Similarly, the heat evidently turns to low / off during the night, which miffed me. But, I found an extra blanket and didn't freeze. On the plus side was also technology. Late check-in was electronic, and a breeze. And, the Wi-Fi worked. Other plusses: Spotlessly clean, beautiful setting, the feel and view of being in a tree house, the loveliness of the morning sun coming at you through the pine trees. The best part was that you get to order breakfast the night before, from a simple menu. In the morning, a very kind young man brought it to us. It was he who erased any potential negatives. So much so, that I would recommend more personal interaction between staff and guests. In a few words, this place is different, and interesting, and even special - not just another night in some anonymous it'll-do box. Recommended."

"We have stayed here a few times because it's more affordable than a lot of other hotels. We love the water feature, seeing the koi and all the plants. They have a spa which I've never had time to use but I'm sure it's nice also. They have rosemary on grounds and recently planted fruit trees which I think is so cool and I wish more places did that. "

"The room was not super clean. The floor did not look like it had been vacuumed. The bathroom floor was nasty dirty, and the shower was gross with not great water pressure. I'm not even sure that there was an elevator as all we could find was a stairwell. The continental breakfast was very limited in options with no water available. Two other rooms close had their tv on all night into the morning and we could here everything. So the room was not very sound proof. "

"Hotel staff was pleasant. I booked the jacuzzi tub suite. The tub is just a normal size if not even shorter than normal but extra deep with jacuzzi jets. It only fits one person and you can’t lay in it. Not worth the extra money. There is a train that runs at night from about 3 to 4 AM and honks a horn the entire time. And overall, I would say the rooms don’t have any soundproofing. I was on the second floor and I could hear people loudly all night long. The casino is pretty much all smoking and smells horrible. For some reason staff rarely is emptying the ashtrays. If you want sodas or coffee, you have to ask a staff member because there isn’t just a station to get them yourself and there is very little staff. The food in the restaurant was okay, not good or great. Also expensive for a cigarette stinky casino mainly frozen foods place. "
