"We appreciated the comfort of the room. There is a small creek running behind that was nice to listen to at night. The main room and bathroom were clean. The bathtub was clean. We did get some ants pretty quickly in the kitchen area with a sandwich on the counter. Otherwise, everything was comfortable."

"The Cary Hotel is my favorite place in Placerville. It's beautiful, comfortable, and convenient. The staff just couldn't be nicer. My favorite part is the little bits of historical knowledge all over the place."

"This casino has it all. Great food at ALL eateries. Great gambling options. Great non gambling family fun with a bowling alley, indoor race track, and plenty of video games. And nice spacious rooms to boot!! Plus the drinks are great and not overpriced!!! Come here and enjoy a fun filled weekend!!!"

"It was passable, but don't set your expectations very high. The carpet didnt lay flat, and the flooring by the tub curling up. It's seen better days. The breakfast is only a prepackaged Svenhard's Danish. No prepared coffee with breakfast so you have to make it yourself in the room with the small machine. Next time we go wine tasting in the area we'll be looking for something a little better."

"The property is conveniently located for visiting Placerville area. It's 10 minutes away from Red Hawk casino - a lot cheaper than staying Red Hawk hotel for you gamblers. The building itself is a bit worn from age but overall clean and maintained well. Included breakfast is fine - standard American affairs - bottomless coffee help waking me up and from spending money on Starbucks. The dining area (about half a dozen tables) can get crowded during morning rush hours so pick your time...

"Staff was friendly, and overall a good place for what I paid for it. A bit loud being near the highway but they can’t help that, and some of the other people staying there were loud at random times of night and there were some sketchy characters hanging around all the time. Over all good bang for my buck, and it was nice having a fridge/freezer at my disposal. I always suggest an upgrade to smart TVs, as well, so guests can just screencast or airplay with their cell, who wants to watch tv with...

"Our room was dirty"

"I had asked for a downstairs room since they didn’t have an elevator and I was healing up from tearing my tendons on my left knee from falling downstairs backwards a month earlier and my dog is 1.5 years old so stairs are not her friend either. The counters were all dirty, the floor was so dirty I had to mop it twice so my feet would not turn black. The kitchen sink leaked all over my things I had on the counter, and on the floor. The toilet was dirty and it constantly ran, the bathroom fan...
