All in all it served its purpose. We were in town for the night and provided a place to sleep. Room was ok just nothing special. The bathroom was tiny. I thought the showers at the gym were tight until I showered here. Great location right on the water; if that doesn’t matter to you then find a place a bit less pricey.

I believe the pictures are misleading. Carpet was dirty. We didnt get housekeeping 4 out of the 5 days we stayed. Asked for clean towels everyday. Staff at front desk were really nice and professional. The last day we got clean towels it was in a trash bag and housekeeping did not knock. Just threw the bag of towels in the room and left. We happened to be in the room when this happened.

Property not same as pictured on website! Run down, lots of weeds, no edging, chipped paint on picnic tables, sand was mostly dirt. Coffee maker in lobby broken both days. Staff was nice and so was outdoor furniture by pool.

We paid $1033 for 3-night stay at the Beach Retreat from June 29-July 2. The Lake Tahoe sunset was beautiful. Many facilities are closed. No breakfast nor lunch service on premises during our stay. The Boathouse restaurant served dinner only, not lunch and dinner as advertised. The Sidelines Pub closed for three days that we stayed, not daily as advertised. One of the two coffee makers in the lobby was out-of-order. The pier was only accessible to boat renters, not even hotel guests. So no pier walk as seen on website. No water taxi as advertised. The room shower did not work properly until the third day. The laundromat washing machine did not work.
The two restaurants were not open as advertised.

They do not explain that there is only one car per room. They make it seem like parking is the most important thing but allow people to walk through the hotel even when f you are not a guest. Meanwhile you pay over $500 a night but everyone else gets the same access to the beach that comes off to be private if you stay there.

Staff at front desk at night, Steven, not helpful and unwilling to assist when we called that TV was not working. He stated that there is nobody to fix it until the next day. Housekeeping very good but most disappointing was the staff at the restaurant at this resort four people in the morning working and had to wait for 35 minutes for a beer and to receive my food. I called in my food and they said that it would be ready in five minutes. Waited 35 minutes to receive food. There was four people working, but all they were doing was chitchatting didn’t even acknowledge that I was waiting. Didn’t even say I will be right with you. Nothing so disappointing. also, we were there for the Fourth of July weekend. They let anybody onto this resort to use their restrooms and facility the restrooms by the front desk were horrible with girls just throwing up chatting changing.

Room keys would not work, we were ther 2 nights only and we had to have them reset it 3 times. What a hassle to go up and down the 3rd floor only to find out your room keys is not working. We were not given a coffee cups and towels when they came in to make our bed; not clean the room.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Having a s’mores kit was a nice touch, if you could find space at a fire pit. The room was clean and remodeled. The chain to the door was ripping off the wall and we didn’t have a do not disturb sign, so housekeeping came in. We stayed in one of the buildings near the beach and the music from the speakers at the Tiki bar was extremely loud, every day from 2p-6p. There’s also a tented area for receptions that had music till 10pm. Even with the sliding glass door closed the loudness could be heard, not very relaxing. Stay in a building closer to the front if you don’t want a nightclub vibe in your room. There weren’t any foot or regular showers near the beach or pool area so sand and dirt was brought to the pool and room. The pool is not heated, making it uncomfortable. There’s no cafe with breakfast items and no room service as advertised. Very conveniently located with a Safeway across the street. Having a marina where you can rent paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and boats is very nice convenience. Would stay again in the summertime in a room away from the lake.

The building and parking lot were old and tattered. Room was ok. The property location and beach access was amazing with a tiki bar on site that was fun. The partial lake view from our room did not disappoint. While there was a wedding outside our room everything was shut down at 10 pm and it was peaceful.

Having a beach right outside my door was amazing. I had a partial lake view which allowed me to have a perfect view of the sunset from my balcony. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. However, if you want to sit outside the room and enjoy a quiet evening, I advise asking for a room as far away as possible from the Tiki Bar. It was so loud that any peace and quiet in the evenings was impossible. All in all, I would recommend a stay here because of the affordability and location. I will stay here again.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Being so close to the beach was excellent.

Great location. Brought our bikes to get around. While beach goers are frustrated looking for parking, we could walk from our room which was awesome. Safeway and CVS are walking distance. 1.5 mile from Heavenly Village. Our rooms weren’t checked on by the staff daily, but every other day. Overall, I would stay there again.

Had a great view of the beach but if your plan is to rest and nap this room might not be for you. The music from the DJ by the tiki bar plays for a few hours. Great music too! But definitely can hinder your nap time.

The hotel is not kept up, everything looks very dirty and old. Definitely needs an upgrade, the pictures of the property are very deceptive. It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t watch the basketball finals because the resort was closed and tv out on the patio not working. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone!

There wasn’t anything unique really. The rooms were decent for the price. The property was nice overall with nice beach, pool and tiki bar. Did not get our room cleaned once while we were there even when I requested it at the front desk. Finally had to get my own fresh towels and toilet paper!

Patio was great for beach access/chilling at the end of the day. We also had a free cocktail/live music night which was fun! Relatively small room but heated with a fireplace which was so homey. Unfortunately the hot tub was not very warm at all, not sure if that was a one-time incident or not.
