"Having a self-service breakfast was very helpful for my requirements.
The property was very clean and the room was large and comfortable. The proprietors were quite helpful but I am not sure that it was clear before I arrived that they were not resident on site. I may have missed something somewhere.
They however weren't too difficult to get hold of and were pretty responsive but it can still be a bit disconcerting when you first arrive.
I was able to leave my luggage while I was out for the day until my return transport was due and that was much appreciated. I would certainly stay here again."
"Outstanding service and care from the staff- they seem to have a ‘family’ vibe going on
Speciall thanks to manager Jane for local info & taking care of us.
Rooms we saw were spacious and clean
We had a room at the back which was light and quiet- we neede a couple of recovery afternoon kips which were uninterrupted.
Dinner was tasty & of really good quality and variety; breakfasts hearty with healthier/ continental options. 5 stars.

"It is an old property and has been maintained somewhat unfortunately both the Bar and the Restaurant were closed we also had a hard time checking in as there was no one on the property just a note with phone numbers to call. I did eventually get a hold of someone and they appeared about ten minutes later. The little beach besides the hotel is quite popular with the locals who play with there kids, walk there dogs and go swimming there, note also that it is only accessible when the tide is out as the stairs leading to it are underwater when the tide is in. Note also there is no parking at the hotel and only six public spaces for Parking close by."
"The whole experience was wonderful.
Great hosts, really nice room and view and perfectly positioned for town.
Breakfasts were a triumph and hospitality from Ryan was second to none.
We really enjoyed our stay here and it made Shetland a really enjoyable experience for us."
