"I have stayed at many Toyoko Inns in Japan and expected the same level of integrity here, but unfortunately, my experience at the Marseille location was marred by the "disappearance" of my belongings and a dismissive staff.
I checked out of Room 226 at 12:00 PM and accidentally left my MacBook charger and a universal adapter plugged into the wall. I realized the mistake and called the hotel at 2:24 PM. Initially, I was told items are always logged during cleaning. However, when I called back at 5:00 PM, I was told nothing was found and was repeatedly told I must be "mistaken."
Between 12:00 PM and 2:24 PM, only staff had access to the room. Since the items never made it to the lost and found log, there is no other conclusion than that they were taken. It is incredibly disappointing that a brand known for trust has staff that would treat a guest’s property this way. If you stay here, double-check your outlets—anything left behind will likely not be returned."
