Walker's Bluff Casino Resort
8/10 Good
"The outside hot tub was still out of service. It’s been out of service since at least May. The outdoor pool was nice but it was too chilly outside for me. I was honestly surprised it was still open in October. The indoor pool water was way too cold to enjoy. The food is terrible. 22&vine food tastes like frozen prepackaged food with no flavor. The breakfast buffet is $20 a person and it tastes like the free continental breakfast you get at every other hotel with powdered eggs. I got a cinnamon roll from the coffee shop and I took one bite and spit it out because it was so gross. It tasted like paper. The staff at the front desk is great. They are very friendly. The spa was really nice. They could use more than one blow dryer. Their staff was also great. We enjoyed our massages. I would definitely use their services again."
Drury Plaza Hotel Mt. Vernon
10/10 Excellent
"Great room, Happy Hour food, cocktails and employees . We loved the bar, very warm and inviting. Bartender was wonderful, wish I remembered her name. The only negative is that breakfast doesn’t start until 7:00 am on weekends. A little earlier would be nice for those of us that like to hit the trail earlier or maybe a grab and go option. Would defiantly recommend!"

"Cockroaches, run down. Paid $80 for a very small room with bathroom."
Americas Best Value Inn West Frankfort
8/10 Good
"Clean, inexpensive, friendly staff. Good value for the money. Some of the things inside were outdated but I just needed a basic room and didn't want to pay $200 for it."
Gray Plaza Motel Benton Rend Lake I-57
8/10 Good
"Hotel was clean. Check in was easy. The only thing I disliked was the tv sits below the bed horizon so you see the top of the screen and feet."
Super 8 by Wyndham Du Quoin
8/10 Good
"When first walking into the room the air was stale as the air unit had been kept completely off, but once turned on it wasn’t noticeable anymore. The room was very dated and definitely needed a facelift. However it was kept very clean with comfortable bedding. If I needed to stay overnight in this town again I would choose here."
