"My preferred location in the North West. Rooms are nice, breakfast is fab. I’m not a fan of the reduced menu in the evening in favour of the small plates. Not a criticism, just an observation and my last stay I ate outside of the hotel on both nights. "

"Stayed here 2 years ago and gave it 8/10. The property has dilapidated a lot since, particularly the corridors and stair cases. The worst things about our stay was the state of the en suit bathroom, which was absolutely filthy. The toilet rim was covered with a black substance so had to clean it ourselves - no idea what it was (the pic was after flushing twice). And the toilet seat was loose. Hairs were everywhere and the shower cubicle hadn't been cleaned for a long while so wasn't used. And...
