"Cute, one room air bnb style, dog friendly place. Even though it's an older motel, there was zero old motel smell. The furniture & decor felt homey & not like a generic hotel room. Floors without carpet felt clean; unlike carpet in a hotel room that hides who know what! I loved that Spearfish Creek was just behind the hotel & the beautiful Lions Park had a nice walking trail. Less than a block away, there was another park that followed the creek. It's close to the Black Hills State University & the neighborhood felt very safe.
The front window could use a blackout curtain as the exterior lights stay on all night & the blinds don't cut the light that well.
