"This is a unique hotel, perched on the hilltop of Montesano village. It has old charm and lots of character. Our room was spacious and with castle-themed furniture. We had a private terrace patio which was huge and offered a spectacular view across the area. The girl at the reception, Elsa, was very kind and informative. We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel and it was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is a hidden gem. Parking at the property is free."

"There was nobody at the reception. We found the staff and she was nice but spoke no English making check in a little difficult. The room itself is basic, but nice balcony with view and the mattresses were memory foam, very comfy. The highlight was dinner and breakfast. Truly worth it. Very cute place and honestly would recommend because of the beauty of this village."

"Palias Hotel was wonderful! Nice rooms and clean and great location, 5 minutes walk to restaurants. Best of all Roberto was super friendly and helpful and welcoming! He made coffee and gave us homemade sandwiches when we missed breakfast. He was extremely friendly and happy to help with our travel plans. You feel well cared for at Palias! Definitely stay here if doing rafting or any national park activities. Antica Laos was recommended by Roberto and it was by far the best meal we've had in our week in Italy, better than Rome or the Amalfi coast! It's a 5 minute walk from the hotel through a picturesque small Italian town without tourists. Stay at Palias and dine at Antica Laos for a fabulous local Italian experience!!"

"Before booking this hotel we were a bit unsure because of the location. But it was the best experience to stay in an authentic little willage! Everything was perfect: lovely and helpful reception ladies, restaurant and staff were great, good selection of breakfast, very clean room with everything you need. We didn't get the room which was shown before booking but it was very similar. Mini fridge was packed with lots of drinks and snacks. Windows has a net from bugs and insects. We had dinner at a local pizzeria. The pizzas and desserts were absolutely delicious, and the prices were very low. (€5-10 for pizzas, €2.5 for beer and €4 big glass of Aperol Spritz). The owner was incredibly friendly—he treated the children to sweets and offered us some limoncello. The people dining at the next table also shared their homemade lemon doughnuts with us, and they were absolutely amazing. We took a walk around the village, which was bustling with people. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we felt safe throughout our visit. The only minus - hotel doesn't have a pool. But it's only about a 20-minute drive from Sapri. Must visit Maratea Skywalk Terrace and the Christ the Redeemer Statue."
