"Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future! "

"Spa was good but very busy. Breakfast was excellent and location wasn’t too bad. Unfortunately there was a gypsy wedding in the hotel during our stay and it was very noisy and there were fights in the bar. Room was good though. Large size and had everything we needed. "

"I come back solely because of Sam, the wonderful concierge. Each time I arrive with my family, he makes everything easy, happy and fun. He consistently goes out of his way for us and everyone else. "Unfortunately in our room the ventilation was not working and had a error come up if you tried to restart the air conditioning. We did not really need air conditioning for cooling that much but just flowing air would have been much nicer as the room but a bit muggy and musky because lack of air flow. Windows did open a bit we found so that did help. Room was well fitted out but some things did not work, usb ports along side bed, fan in bathroom. Not a deal breaker but could have been better for sure. Good Competitive rates though as well."
