Spring Hill hotel guide. Independent hotel in Spring Hill, Florida

"Linens were all clean. staff was friendly. People(thinking long stay people) hanging in the lobby playing music on their phones. Cops were there when we arrived. went to room, was clean. could see light around the door due to large gaps. lots of gaps around the shower wall inserts. dead bug in bathroom door frame. decided it would be ok for the night, but while laying in bed, a cockroach crawled out of the wifi router. that was the breaking point. I know it is low cost motel, but not sharing a room with roaches. I know Florida has a lot of bugs, but this was a German cockroach, the ones that like filth. left 2 hours after we arrived. as I was explaining what was going on, the cops had returned. no judgement on anyone staying long term there, as the world is a horrible place right now. but NO ONE should have to live/stay anywhere with roaches."

"This was my first time staying at this hotel. When I arrived the gentleman at the front desk said the key controls the lights. I looked at him puzzled like what are you talking about and he said you gotta put your key in in order to turn on the light. That was not clear direction. I said I don’t know what you mean and he said - well. You gotta put it in the holder so when I got to the room, I finally understood, but it was not clear direction and he seemed annoyed. Then every time I entered the hotel there were some lady on her cell phone on speaker talking to somebody, that I felt uncomfortable to even ask for more soap. I don’t know the staff seemed very uninterested in making you feel like a welcomed guest and didn’t want to be bothered if you had questions about the key/light situation or soap. "

"YOU, EXPEDIA PEOPLE, DID NOT DISCLOSED THAT THE ELEVATOR WAS OUT OF SERVICE; THE LADY AT THE FRONT DESK CLAIMED THAT YOU KNEW ABOUT IT AND YOU(EXPEDIA) STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE FULL AMOUNT. I'M REQUESTING A DISCOUNT OF SOME FORM FOR THIS SITUATION OF NOT HAVIN AN ELEVATOR."
